I am researching the Hooleys and Splains from McKean County, PA and came across your memorials. You are very creative and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them. Hats off to you for your new endeavors into genealogy and family history,

You are very welcome. It's a beautiful cemetery.

The section should have been 03 "Center" instead of "East". I checked with the cemetery office before looking for the marker and they immediately saw the error.
Glad to help.

Michael, I think the road you were referring to that was windy, was Larew Lane. The cemetery is a bit further down State Rt. 611. Larew Lane is actually where George Tench, the great-grandson of Isaac Hall Larew lived until he passed away, unfortunately just last week. George was buried in Larew and is (of course) the most recent burial in the cemetery.

Larew Cemetery is on State Rt. 611 (Newbern Road). You would need to turn Right on Rt. 611 off of Rt. 100 coming from the interstate. Once you're on Rt. 611, you'd go under the interstate overpass, and pass Cougar Trail Rd on the right. The next left is Newbern Heights Rd, which leads into a subdivision. Newbern Heights horseshoes around to another entrance/exit out of the subdivision a short ways down the road. Go past this first entrance, and Larew Cemetery is in between the two entrances. It's on the left, and there is a small sign that hangs off of a pole. The road leading to the cemetery is not paved or even graveled. So, it's kind of hard to see if you're not going really slow. My husband and I have lived in this area all our lives, and I've seen the sign for the cemetery several times when I've driven past, but we still missed the entrance when we went there the other day.
Hope this helps, Good Luck!
