RE: Mary A. Mock Parr
Hi, Carol. Yes, I wrote an explanation with each decline, I don't know why that didn't appear. "Burial unknown" is only for interrals less than 30 days ago while arrangements are unfinished. Find A Gave is a database to find where a grave is (except in cases like lost at sea or cremated, ashes scattered). I hope you are able to locate Michael's grave in your researches someday, and I will be happy to link when you do.

Sincerely,

Dave Davisson

RE: William Allen Jones
Hi, Carol.
I'm pretty certain that my Wm Allen Jones did not have a daughter Mary in Owen County.
William was born in Maryland and moved to Mason County, KY around 1800. He lived in Mason County and maybe sometimes Bracken county.
I could be wrong but I don't think so. If you have information that says otherwise, I'd like to see it.
Thanks for writing to me.

Hi Carol! I was trying to help a friend sometime ago and was able to determine that there was no relation after I asked to maintain the page. It's been so long ago that I can't remember details.

If I needed the wonderful information you provided, I would certainly be happy you took the time to contact me.

Happy hunting,

RE: Isaac Senseney, Dr. John Senseney
Your husband could not find the Senseney grave yard. I will add it to my place to find list, if I do I will take lots of pictures of what I find and maybe Dr Johns marker is still there along with that of his graddaughter Catherine. I found the East side of McKinstry's Mill Road, across from Priestland Road, one mile north of McKinstry's Mill on Map quest. And there across the street on the east side is an old farm on Mill Race Drive (the name of the farms driveway) that has got to be the property. It happens to be as the crow flies about one mile from Winters Church Rd, the church where my Stansbury/Hiltabidel kin attend church, before they moved to Canal Dover Ohio and then on to Ashland County Ohio. This is the families my brother and I are going on a road trip to try and trace in August.
First cousins twice removed -Two people for whom a first cousin relationship is two generations removed. The grandchild of one's first cousin; also the first cousin of one's grandparent.so if you go back four generations you get First cousins four times removed, which is what Angeline Senseney’s husband is to me. David Hiltabidel is my 1C4R.
Was George Washington MaGee who lived in Frederick Md. Quaker? I have Quaker MaGee (MaGehee) kin but they lived in Hanover County Virginia (about 90 miles south of Frederick) in the early 1700’s. Hope all goes well on your DAR application, one day I may join SAR I can get in on my late Grandmother's membership thru Gideon Crews. Kenneth Fawcett

RE: Isaac Senseney
Carol,
With regards to the date, I believe that I discovered Isaac's birth date when I read the book "Names in Stone" Md. Vol.#2.
I don't know if you know it or not, but neither Isaac, nor his parents or many of his other family members are actually buried at Pipe Creek Church of The Brethren Cemetery. (Their grave markers are ... however there).
Some time after 1965 most of the grave stones of the Senseney family were moved to Pipe Creek Cemetery, but they did not move the bodies. This makes it hard for historians, who then have to choose which place to list as their resting place. In creating this Senseney family cemetery site, It is clearly stated in the cemetery notes, that their bodies are buried there, but that the markers (or most of them) had been moved.
Angeline Senseney the daughter of Christian and Ann Appler Senseney married David Hiltabidel my 1C4R. Christian was the brother of Isaac and their parents were Dr. John and his wife Mary.
I also have other Uniontown Md. Senseney kin, who it seems dropped the e using the spelling Senseny such as my 5 Great Uncle Peter Senseny, his wife Ketivia Stevenson and their children. This spelling source comes from my Great Grandmother Stella Camp.
We may have to check with the Find A Grave Board to see what should be done. Thanks for joining find a grave and for the memorials you have created. I joined after finding my GGG Grandfather in St Lawrence New York. I would never have found him if it were not for Find-A-Grave. Sincerely Kenneth Fawcett

RE: James Henry McGee
Carol,

I don't know if I can help much. My James Henry McGee grew up in Wrightsville, York, PA. I heard from his granddaughter that James' mother was Mary Little. When I saw the marriage license in 1806, Frederick, MD, I knew it was his parents. I know that Mary and son John were living in Wrightsville next door to son James Henry on the 1850 census. I cannot find either Mary or John after the 1850 census. She probably died during that time. My James married Elizabeth Dreher and they moved the whole family to Canal Fulton, Stark Co OH in 1874. One thing I notice is that your Magee is spelled differently than my McGee. Let me know if I can help you any further. I would love to know more about my McGee family prior to 1850. I was so delighted to find the marriage license. Evidently, James McGee born 1785 who married Mary Little died before 1850.

RE: Keebler Family
Hi, Carol,
I did not see Isaac when I was at Montoursville, sorry. The cemetery is huge, though, so he may be there. If you have his death date I could search for an obituary which might tell us for sure. What is your connection to this line? I have lots of Keeblers (originally spelled Kubler) but have not connected to this line yet. I found Isaac and Charles' father John's death certificate which shows his parents as John and Mary Piefer - do you have the line going further back?
My connection to Charles (so far) is through his wife, Mary Emma Houser, and I have her line back through her grandparents.

Dear Carol,
Thank you for doing such a great job on our Shade family in findagrave. We have the information but for anyone who is just beginning to look for their family, your entries will be a generous gift for them.

I was recently gifted with some of the Sidenstick graves and I will try to do justice to them by following your examples in the Shade entries.

I am glad there are people like you who take accuracy and content seriously.

Take care,

Jo Juan

Hey Carol,

I have transferred her to you. I give more credit to the date carved on the marker than the census, because the person giving the info on the census may not be that close. I saw one census where a neighbor gave all the info on 6 different families not related to him. Lazy census taker?? Could be.
