Gary Ross
RE: Ross
My father-in-law Bob Ross (Missouri) is the son of Brady Bishop Ross & Blanche L. Raley. Brady's first wife was Rosa Gilligan I believe that was her last maiden name.
About Thomas Pink Ross have you found out who his parents were.
thank you
P.S. do you know where William Ross and his wife Della Cook are buried. Brady's father

Hello Bob

There is some contention as to the father of Thomas Pinkney Ross. I got the information from a book that was written by a late pastor at New Hope Methodist Church in Monroe, NC. In the book he says Pink's (who is my great grandfather) father was Ezekiel and his mother was Mary. The contention comes from Jim Beshires. He correctly says that according to his information, Ezekiel died in 1863 and Pink was born in 1869. If this is correct, Ekekiel could not be Pink's father. However, I do not know where Jim got the info about the year of Ezekiel's death and I do not know if Pink was actually born in 1869. I do know that back then many people were born at home and often years of birth and death are estimated.

I am not sure of Mary's maiden name either. I have not done much research but Jim tells me he has.

Who was William's father and mother?

RE: Brady Ross
I think he is there. There was one more fieldstone on the left marking a grave. I didn't include it in the picture, but thought about that as soon as I got home. I'll take another picture next time I go.

RE: Brady Ross
I added a photo that shows all three graves. Brady and Bertha are on each side of Rosa.

RE: Clara Noblit
There's no listing of Frank Noblit in the online records. You could try putting in a photo request for Clara and attach a note asking to also photo Frank's marker is it's in the area.

Kenneth Cooper
Bob, I have been trying to log on your email address (not finda grave email) & have not been able to. I am going to Florida & my brother in law will help me find a way to log on to it I hope. If you don't mind email me at & I will reply to your email that way I think I will be able to send pictures to you.

I have received some pictures (46 in all ) from Aunt Helens' daughter & I am going to put them on the computer & send them out to you & some of my cousins, hopefully some one will know who some of them are. One picture is of Kenneth Cooper when he was 14 years old & another one looks like Kenneth but he is about 3-4 years older than the first one. It will take a little while to do all this, but I will get it done. Some of the pictures are of children. There are no names written on the backs of most of them. Alice

Damon Harrson
Found a 1940 census that listed Damon as being born in Missouri & they had a daughter Sandra Harrison, one year old. I don't know if this is correct. Alice

Freda Lee
Bob, I just noticed the picture you put on Freda's memorial page. Thank you for doing that! It is so good to see her in her older years. In all the pictures I ever saw of her, she was just as neat a dresser in her older years as she was in her younger years. Always slim & looked very nice. Thank You for doing this!!Alice

Kenny Cooper
Bob I talked with a distant cousin this info is from him: Ken married Mary Sexton 10-1953.
Donna Jean & Marcia were born before Ken & Mary got married, so probably they were daughters of a previous marriage of EITHER Ken or Mary. two more daughters were born after they got married.

If he sends anything else I will relay to you. I did not know how to forward his message to you over find a grave other than forward it this way.
Hope this helps. Alice

Bob, I have posted 2 pictures on the memorial pages of Hugo & Gertrude Cooper. I thought these were taken at the Home Place in Pitts but the fence looks different. So I am not sure now. I got these from our cousin Michael. If you find out the information is wrong let me know. alice

RE: Beatrice & Damon Harrison
Hi Bob, Thank you for doing this. We really appreciate it. My sister Georgia Weldon was doing family research many years ago. She has been giving me information on the Cravens family lines. Georgia is still in touch with Rose Mary in Hurst, Ill. Georgia called Rose Mary the other night & asked her if she knew where Beatrice would have been buried. Rose Mary knew of Beatrice but did not know where she was buried. I am glad you found her.

I have a picture of Hugo & Freda Lee in my picture file on my computer I am not sure where this picture came from. It was taken on the Old Hurst Home Place in Pitts/Uno Arkansas. I am going to put this picture on Hugo's memorial page.

Thanks again for ALL your help & information you have given me. Alice

Paul Hoyt
RE: Ona F. Ostland
Hi Bob - we didn't find Ona's husband, or Thomas Cooper's wife in Tower Grove. We photographed the entire cemetery, and were pretty careful to not miss any gravestones, but there is always the possibility. . . We worked in conjunction with FindAGrave contributor Kim R, who had an old "census" of the cemetery, and she entered names from her source, while we added pictures to her names, and new memorials for those that we found that were not on her list. I'm sorry that I don't have photos for the people that you are looking for.

Best wishes,
Paul Hoyt

RE: Beatrice & Damon Harrison
Thanks for the info. Since they lived in Hurst, I wondered if they were buried in Blairsville cemetery. My sister Frances & I were up there in May of this year. We were searching out all the Jarvis, Elliot's & related families buried in Blairsville but did not know where Beatrice was buried. That as well as other necessary info will give us another reason to return in 2015. Thank you for all your help & information. Alice Hurst

Beatrice & Damon Harrison
Bob, You helped me once before when you moved Hugo & Freda Lee to show buried in Oakwood Cmt.

I Have been looking for Beatrice Harrison. I have been told that she is Hugo's sister.

There was a Beatrice & Damon Harrison that lived in Hurst & I believe she passed away in 2003 but not sure. Do you know if she was Hugo's sister & where she is buried. I have not located them anywhere in Illinois. I wonder if their grave are not listed on Find a Grave.

Thank you for any help you can give me. Alice Hurst
