RE: Sugar Maple Cemetery
Hi Ted,

Thanks so much for the info on finding the cemetery. We found the general area, but not the specific way to the cemetery. We appreciate your help with this, as we will be in the area again in March. Hopefully the snakes will still be hibernating. YIkes! My husband said he will stay in the car. LOL.

So, your wife and I must be cousins. We stopped at the Onslow County Museum the last time we were there, and learned that the Exec. Director, Lisa, is also a cousin.

Did you find the slave cemetery on Highway 17? There is also a cemetery with many Foy relatives at the gate to Camp LeJeune.

The Foy Family Has a lot of interesting people in it.

Thank you again, and my best to your wife!

Sugar Maple Cemetery
Hi Ted. James Madison Foy was my 5th great grandfather, and my husband and I have searched for the Sugar Maple cemetery where he, his wife, Elizabeth Ward, and one of their sons is buried. My 4th great grandmother was his daughter, Serena. I am wondering if you have personally seen the Sugar Maple Cemetery? If so, would you kindly share how we can find it? Thank you, Louise

Laura MacCaskey
Crayne Relatives
Hello! I think we might be related. My great grandmother, Lura Ellen (or Ella) Crayne was married to Robert Henry Crayne, whose father, George Washington Crayne, is buried in Lowry City MO. Ironically, I now live in St Louis and would love to visit this grave site and learn more about the Craynes. My paternal grandmother, Vonita Pearl Pick, was born in Niwot CO and her mother and father are buried there. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Laura MacCaskey (nee Pick)

I don't know where she had gotten her information, the majority of the records show year of birth as 1841. Thank you for catching that. Cindy

Michael Friedrichs
Hendrickson family
While doing some family research on the Hendrickson's I noticed that you are listed as the one maintaining the information on William Henry Hendrickson. He is my Great Grandfather. I can give you additional information on him and his family. for example, his Father was Ezekiel Hendrickson (memorial #35679867). He is not listed in the children of Ezekiel, along with others of his 10 brothers and sisters. I have contacted the person maintaining that memorial as well.

Please let me know how you would like the information so it can be added to the memorial.

Maude A. Broshears #111959510
I believe you have Maude A. Broshears listed in the wrong Forest Hill Cemetery. You show her as being buried in Forest Hill-South and that cemetery was not established until 1962 (she died in 1957). I believe she should be in the Forest Hill-Midtown Cemetery, which is the original Forest Hill Cemetery.

April Gross
Ella Petty request
I got your message about there being no record of Ella having married to a Petty. I'm going to leave the name as Ella Petty until it can be proven that this is not her last name.

Her headstone lists her last name as Petty and the family's obituaries also list it as Petty. So it does appear that her name was Petty, whether it's a maiden name or married name.

I have added her bio, but wonder if Ward could be her maiden name. If you know her maiden name, please add it.

RE: 57116920 If you have birth/death date/location info or links to parents/spouse, this would be helpful. You can provide by suggesting an edit using automatic system. It's been so long since I posted that comment, I have forgotten what genealogy trail I was following at the time. Mr. Rogers is not a direct relative. Thanks for your time.

I was just wondering if Abraham & Flora Sears & Christina Lasley, all buried at Mount Hope in KCK, were related? I have Christina as their daughter but not linked, I am second guessing myself.
I believe Christina was married to my great uncle Carl Lasley, who is buried with her at Mount Hope Cemetery. Thank you!

Kelley Cemetery - Union Co. TN
I am a member of the Union County Cemeteries Association. I am working to post photographs of Civil War soliders buried in Union Co., Tn, to the Union Co. Cemeteries Association website, in the Civil War section. We are currently looking for pictures of the soldier graves in Union Co., and we found some of yours. We would like to post your photographs from Find a Grave, and hope you will grant us permission to use your photos. Please know full credit will be given to you. While this is not for personal use, it is very important to the UCCA community.

We would also like to use these CW soldier tombstone photos on our Facebook page. Again you will be given full credit on both sites for your photos. It is not our intention to publish these photos in any way. We know that you have taken so many photos of cemeteries in Union Co., and have done much to preserve our history and heritage. We thank you.

We are currently looking at Civil War soldiers in Kelley Cemetery and hope we will hear from you soon. Please give us the name you would like to use for photo credits.

Minnie Roten Mitchell
Hey, Ted! I made the link to Mrs. Mitchell's mom as requested. When I was adding the link and looking up Mrs. Mitchell's death certificate and obit, I just got confused! The death certificate shows her middle name was MAY, and her grave marker shows an middle initial of E. So maybe there's just something missing here that I'm unaware of. At any rate, just wanted you to know that the link is complete and more info has been added.
