|Booter & Laura Cantrell||William Hester Sr|
Hey Jimmy, This is Bill Cantrell, I have a question for you about a person you might be related to. His name is William Hester Sr. A guy I work with Chris Hester, Is trying to find information on him. The searching I have done on him is showing he could possibly be buried in the John Wesley Hunt Family Cemetery in Dacusville. Let me know if you have any information on him if you would please. Hope you are doing well. Thanks, Bill.

I was just curious. I saw the picture of the original fieldstone/tombstone. Is it still there with the new tombstone? I just didn't see it in the picture of the new tombstone. Thanks, Nancy B.

I already got the cemetery moved out of Pickens County and into Greenville County, and can submit these coordinates to the Forums as an approximate location; if you double check and find they are different, let me know and I can resubmit.
thanks so much, Karyn

Hi Jimmy, I would like to get a GPS on this cemetery where you took photos:
It is not one listed by the Pickens County SC GPS Cemetery Project, so I have no reference point to use. Is is possible you could help with a location or GPS on this property?

Hi Jimmy, you are so welcome. It was my pleasure. I wish I could've cleaned it up better but that was the best I could do. We had some rain yesterday so I will check to see if it cleaned it up a little. Have a great week.

Did you receive via email my document on Isaiah Whitmire's lineage? Not working on trees much this summer. Hope to share info sometime. Would like to have more info on the cemetery you maintain. Just back from a GA trip where I tromped in Murrayville GA cemetery: Yellow Springs Baptist Church. Wonderful old old old cemetery!

Hi Jimmy! Wow this was a pleasant surprise. I wish I could help with pictures, but I have very little to no information on the Hunt/Shaw side of my family. Our daughter started a family tree in Ancestry.com and my husband, Tom and I have been trying to help her with updating as much as we can. I see you manage quite a few Find-A-Grave memorials, I kinda browsed a bit last night, and it gave me a little more info that I didn't have before, but you said you maintain a website of your family tree? I'd love to be able to take a look and if you'd like, I can try and send you a request to review what we have so far on Ancestry.com (Bemis Family Tree). By the way, may I ask where you currently live? I see quite a few burial locations in Pelzer, Anderson, Greenville areas. My husband, just recently, found some of his biological cousins in Upstate and we are planning a trip in April to come meet them for the first time. As you already know, my mother was buried last year at the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery and my step-father currently lives in Greer, but if you're close to the area would like to possibly arrange a meet. We are going to be in town for 2 weeks, look forward to hearing from you. Debbie Bemis - email: firstname.lastname@example.org

Jimmy, I tried again yesterday to at least locate the stone you mentioned but unfortunately there are a great number of old stones that look like rocks that have worn down over the years and nothing is visible on the stones. Very sad indeed when they become unreadable.

|Ellen Sutherland Butler||RE: Thank you|
There are several stones like you mentioned, and yes they have weathered and are totally unreadable. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to locate the grave. If I get out there again I will take some pictures of those and possibly get them to you to see if you recognize them.
I also took two pictures of Jeremiah's tombstone - I took one back far enough to show the entire tombstone and and another like the closeup that is already posted. Would you like for me to post the picture of the entire stone?

|#46589136||RE: John Christopher & Cynthia Black Rhodes|
John and Cynthia Rhodes were my GGG-grandparents. John Newton Rhodes was my GG-grandfather. They lived in an area known as Possum Kingdom, which is between Highway 25 and Pelzer. The copy of Cynthia's death certificate I've seen was barely readable and pretty vague. John Christopher's death certificate has him listed as being buried at Cedar Shoals where their son and several grandchildren are buried. Since he passed away first, I figured she was probably buried in the same cemetery as him. I requested a photo of their graves to verify that she is also buried there, but no one has filled it. I suppose I need to go by there on a trip to Greenville if it isn't filled.
I've had a difficult time researching Cynthia because her name has been different on almost every thing I've found. Thank you, because you message tells me that I have the wrong parents for her.

Thanks, Jimmy! Guess you've been really busy lately. If it becomes too much to keep up with and you decide to "unload" some of your memorials, I would be glad to have any Osborne or Allen you have, or anyone buried in Reed Creek Baptist Church cemetery for that matter. Thanks for adding the links, I appreciate it. - Bobbie
