|A Girl Who Loves Genealogy||Hello there Lori|
Just checking in with my new friend!
How are the travels going? It was in the 40s the other night here in Dallas. I am still enjoying these mild and wonderful days down here. Usually the 100s are knocking at our door.
Though I realize Chicago is still quite cold, we are enjoying those cooler winds down this way.
Wanted to say a hello....I bet you love Houston not being so hot!

Don't like it?? Thank you so very much Lori. I think that the originator of Bill's memorial had waited about six months for the marker picture. We both appreciate you and your efforts.

Lori, thanks so much for posting the photo of Bill's marker. Can you please add it to his wife's memorial. She is linked to him. Thank you, Paul

Once again Lori, your generousity and leg wook is greatly appreciated
The family has been gifted with your work and energy. My uncle Al died on Feb 28th 1967, what better Yahrzeit could there be than to have his grave found and a memorial entered in Findagrave in his honor on this date !
I never knew my aunt Roz's maiden name so your finding her family is a gift to her children, my cousins.
Once again my family could not have a better friend!

|Joe C||RE: found them|
Glad you found them!
According to my records, I don't have anyone else who might be buried in the 'old' Montefiore cemetery.
The only ones I haven't found thus far would be a few Elman's.
Thanks again so much for putting in the extra effort, I really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, I don't. I do know that she was born in 1888 as was her husband, whom I know of as 'James'. They might be different though.

|Joe C||RE: Question - Dan and Kitty Lake|
Hey Lori -
I'm not 100% sure as another Find A Grave member originally created the memorials.
I have some other family buried in this cemetery, so it kind of made sense, but might be a coincidence too.
Kitty Lake is related through marriage to the Bedfords (whom I believe you took some photos for me a while ago) and Dan is her husband. Based on this, it makes sense that Kitty is buried in the same cemetery, and might be near the Bedfords.
Other family names that *might* be near the Bedfords:
-Esther Lake (maybe this is the Edith Lake you mentioned?)
Thanks for asking, and thanks SO much for going out there!

Thanks so much the photo of Abraham Nelkind. It's quite remarkable. He was my husband's second great-grandfather.
I appreciate very much you taking the time to photograph it!
Happy New Year!

Thank you again for everything; all those Weissabards are indeed relatives. I will make the memorials tonight.
As for Joseph, that is very strange. He is listed on the Montefiore grave locator in the location that I had on his profile although the last name is spelled with one "S" instead of two. Thank you for trying though. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for all the pictures (and sorry if there was any Joseph Greenberg confusion. He went by Joseph and is listed as Joseph on the Montefiore website, but was buried under the name Gedalia; thank you for getting it even though it was not clear.)
Yes, any other Weissbard photos would be helpful. The four in a row are (I believe) relatives.

Lori thank you for braving the GW Bridge and bringing to us another member of the family, too long out in the cold. It appears that the hebrew says "Son of Fishel" but I'm guessing. Th elast letter of the name is a Lam-ed. or L
Thank you thank you for being a friend of the family and a great findagrave member

I can't express the gratitude I feel- but I'll try.
The extraoridinary lengths you have gone to to find my lost family is appreciated.In the Jewish tradition doing a Mitzvah insurtes a place for you in heaven.
Visiting the sick, visiting a grave and comforting bereaved are mitzvahs.
Maybe teaching you child to swim may be one, but that doesn't count here.
Your and Jean Lewis's finding Gussie's grave (my almost impossible to find Grandmother) is truly wonderful.
She died when my dad was only 6 - he never knew her and as he went into an orphanage, he never spoke of her. This is like finding a missing piece of my family's heart. THANK YOU!!!!

Wow, I am so delighted to see grandpa's grave
I was 4 when he died and my father never wanted to visit his grave so I could never pay my respects. this means so much to me..
Way more than just collecting headstone photos.
I'm going to place a stone on top of my screen so th eangel knows I visited.
Now I have to move his memorial to Mt Carmel from Montifiore when I figure out how to do that.
You are a GREAT Findagrave member!

Yes, and I am so delighted with them. Thank YOU!You can see them all added to Leah Sitron,s memorial which i paid to sponsor so I could add them all.
I added asome other memorials and requested photos from the same plot the Tiraspol society from Tiraspol Moldova, (Ukraine)
There are Beckers and Dechters/Dexters, Appel and Moskowitz names I don't know the dates of, and any photos you could send would be helpful.
Further, my grandfather and his wives are in Montifiore also...Louis Baumwoll/Baumwohl and Gussie- Should you find them I would be delerious.
You are doing a great spiritual service.
It feels so good to receive these, I have been searching and sending for many of us here on FindaGrave.

I think I got this by accident. Didn't request this pic, though I am researching O'Neils, mine are located in Gardner, Ma. Don't know if you can find out who actually requested photo, so they can be notified.
But thank you on their behalf.

Thank you for the nice note!
Yes, whenever I photograph a veteran's grave I always place a flag next to it for the photograph. I think it makes the photos look much nicer for the "online cemetery" that FindAGrave is, and also honors the veteran. (I take the flag with me afterward, however, because otherwise the cemetery will discard them) (except on special holidays, and then they only leave it for one day or so).
