|Rickey "Rick" Boult||FAMILY|
I think I have finished updating the BOLT's you maintain.
And I marked up my tree to reflect a family member has those memorials. So, I will not bug you later for transfers, LOL.
I am so sorry for your LOSS, I just could not imagine, my children are between 23 and 35. But I also have 2 very special grandchildren.
My thoughts are with you my friend,
Rick Boult "BOLT"

|Ronald Johnston||Consider Adding This Information|
The Compton family arrived in the Pine Apple area around 1835 from Sumter District, South Carolina. James F. Compton came with his father and mother and other family members. After their arrival in 1835, he purchased 80 acres of land from George W. Ptomey. James Compton married married Julia Sowerhaver of South Carolina and, at her death, married Martha Ann Ptomey. His son by marriage with Julia, Henry Rufus, died while serving with Confederate forces in 1862. Henry Rufus's son, Evander C., married Minnie Newman of Greenville, Alabama. The four children of this marriage were raised in Pine Apple. Leone married John Ellison and their daughters, Clara and Lilly Cathrine, partly grew up in Pine Apple. Kate married James Lloyd and their sons, James C., Hugh, and Lee B. grew up in Pine Apple. Minnie Newman Compton was a beloved postmistress of Pine Apple for many years and Evander C. was postmaster before his wife

You are very welcome, it is my honor to leave a token for Daniel. I know how brave he had to be. I pray for the day thT dreadful disease is a distant memory and that children like our boys never have to suffer. I have added you to my friends list and will visit Daniel frequently. Fondly, Allison

Katie was Clara'a sister, right? I met your aunt and her mother, Mrs. L. Ellison here in Houston in 1973. They were so nice and tried to help me with family history. I was very interested, but young and did not follow up on genealogy as I should have done. Busy with work. Clara made me a chart on the relationship between the Compton and McCain famiies--I still have it.
J. I meant to tell you that the family history I have says that Henry Rufus Compton Jr. was said to have never married and was buried in the Old Norred Cem. His father, Henry Rufus Compton died in a Confederate War Camp in Montgomery in 1862, and we don't know where he is was buried as far as I know. He IS listed as being buried in the Old Norred Cem. on F.A.G. Henry
Jr.,also, with links to their parents.
Please e-mail me at email@example.com...
You probably have a lot of good info that I don't have, and maybe some pics. I just found out today that a sister of my gg grandfather and James Frazier Compton was buried at the Old Norred Cem. too. Marian/Marion J. Compton Finch and her spouse, Francis M. Finch.
Am looking forward to hearing from you, and maybe I can help you too. We have found some interesting info about the Sowerhavers.

Was you grandmother Clara Ellison Erath? I have read in family history where Henry Rufus Compton never married and was buried in the Old Norred Cem. Wilcox, AL.
My g g grandfather was the brother of James Frazier Compton.
I left a note for your lovely son. Pics so good of him, with that wonderful smile.

|Linda Davis||MC Compton|
Please excuse me for jumping the gun on Henry Compton's memorial. Do you want me to transfer it and the young son's memorial to you?
I deleted my duplicate of MC Compton. Didn't know the dates, didn't realize I was making a duplicate. I hyperlinked her original memorial to Henry's for now stating her entire name with maiden name.
Truly sorry for stepping on your toes.

Hi, Hope all is well with you...I just wanted to let you know that I changed the way I had Daniel's name for flowers request...it seems to already be working, but I want to make certain that it is okay with you, and whether there are any side thoughts (types of tokens, etc). I'm so sorry that nobody visited him for Halloween, but the few of my site friends who are local didn't see any Halloween tokens and so thought that they might not be welcome - of course, I immediately said Well, you should have left something else, Silly Geese. =) ---No, I am not known for my quiet character. ha!--- ...and I missed it because of some medical stuff going on - but we are thinking of you, please feel free to let me know how I can help you with this site. And hey to Denver...I lived in Brighton and Thornton for a few years - miss the area, but not the weather! Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue
