Hi Dixie!
I was looking at the Rader family graves, and started reading your messages, where I see that you may be related to Julius Rader. If that is so, we share his father in common: John Christopher Rader, as he is my great-grandfather. Do you have any interest in sharing any geneology information?
Thanks for your consideration!

RE: Emma Ready at Forest Lawn Saginaw Co Mi
You're welcome. I'm still adding photos from my recent visit. Last night I just added 3 photos of matching stones located near her. Ralph Ready, David Ready and Raymond Calhoun. I needed to create a memorial for Raymond. Let me know if you would like me to transfer it to you.

Just letting you know that I have located a headstone for Emma Ready (I see someone previous reported not finding any). It should be posted in the next couple days.

Since you created Julius's memorial, you will need to link him to his parents. Links can only be made from children to parents, not parents to childen.

RE: Rev Merit M Rader
No, my family is from another part of the state--I just happen to live in Fairfield County, so I do whatever I can locally to help others who are researching their families. I added the additional information on the Rader family just because you were interested in them. I volunteer for RAOGK, so I'd be happy to help you with your research if I can.

Updates made.

With your information, I found Mary Catherine Swartz Rader's death certificate and could confirm that she was Merit's wife. Thanks for filling in the blanks!

Each winter my attention returns to genealogy. I noticed your interest in the Carpenter and Moore families buried at Edina Cemetery. I'm in the process of uploading photos of the Moore family headstones. I'm a descendant of James and Lettia Carpenter.

You are welcome. There are MANY people buried in the Bass Lake Cemetery who didn't have any memorial on Find-A-Grave but I will add them thanks to your photo request which took me out that way.

RE: carpenter and moore families
Hi Dixie, Thank you for the nice comment about the Moore-Carpenter memorials. I don't live in the Argenteuil county area but feel quite confident that there's headstones for this family. I will contact a cousin who has visited that cemetery and ask if they have any photos of this family in their files.

RE: Earle Rader
You're quite welcome; I'm really glad I could help. I just wish Earle's marker had still been standing.

Earle Rader
Hi Dixie,

I found the location where Earle is probably interred (see caption on first picture of his memorial page), but only his brother's marker remains.

In the picture: Row 9 begins with the three grouped markers in the lower right corner, and ends with the large granite block marker in the upper left corner. Wilber Rader's marker is the first marker standing after the group of three. There is empty space on either side of him, and his is the only headstone for the Rader family in this cemetery. His brother, Earle, is probably interred immediately to Wilber's left or right (there's room on both sides).

Both sons of John C. and Mary Magdalene (Miller) Rader, married in Fairfield County on November 26, 1852.

Many of the markers in this cemetery fell over and were subsequently covered with sod. Earle's may still be in the area, but I couldn't find any evidence of it.

Wheatfield Cemetery
I have walked the Catholic and Davis side of the cemetery and have not found any Rader. The cemetery does not have records of graves. They are right now trying to plot out all the graves and record them. I know it sounds crazy in this day. They are trying to go through town records and information from family members who have people buried there to locate any unmarked graves.
If Joseph and his wife lived in this area, I could try to locate obituaries and funeral records that might be able to help. If it was a local funeral home they may have records of the burial site.

I posted pictures I got from the town clerk. We are getting clobbered with snow and if you'd like me to return in the spring I will. I will not be able to get back to Isaac Friday's until it stops snowing.
