Robert L. Parsons
I noticed that you submitted a virtual flower on your 3rd great grandfather Robert L. Parsons memorial, through his daughter, Rachel Parsons. Do you have in your family any information about his daughter Emmezetta (Embazet) Parsons and Rachel's sister. She married Peter Beck in Will county, IL in 1858. In the 1900 census she is 62 years old and living with her son, Cly Beck in Will County. she is listed as a widow. Do you know any thing about when and where she may have died. Thank you.

Thomas Morrow
Hi Nancy,

We communicated in the past regarding Thomas Morrow in DeSoto county and I said then that if I found anything I'd let you know. Well, I found something, but I lost your email address, so I will try to get the info. to you here.

It's not much, but it proves that Thomas died in DeSoto county.

DeSoto Co., Mississippi
Estate dockets, 1853-1867, p. 188.
Thomas Morrow, deceased.
No death date is given, but from the dates of the claims against his estate it appears that he died in 1859 since there are no new due dates registered after that year. Listed are the names of his creditors, including that of his son I. M. Morrow.

A search of the DeSoto county minute books covering 1859 should reveal more information, but these books are not indexed which means scrolling through them page by page until you find the right entry.
