Happy to help you. Having access to burial locations via the database at the Genealogical Society of Marion County is a great help!
When I was at the location I also found a marker for Fred M. Ray, Glenda E. Ray and an Infant, all on the same marker and adjacent to Oscar & Pearl. They had all passed away in 1946. I wonder what sort of tragedy may have occurred. There's a story behind every name for sure. Anyway, all of them had memorials so I uploaded those photos as well.

I have made the updates you requested. Would you like a transfer of his page?
In your bio you mentioned that he lived at 3779 Spottswood, my childhood home was on Spottswood also, 6 blocks away. I believe his house was directly across the street from the current University of Memphis practic fields.

|Rev. Dale Sims||RE: New Hope Cemetery|
I have been trying to find information about the Carnahan's at New Hope. I went there about two years ago and took all the pictures that I could read but apparently didn't find them. I did find some census records. If you need them send me your email address through mine and I will forward them to you.

The cemetery is at the very end of Coleman Harvey Rd. A neighbor, whose husband sometimes keeps the cemetery clean, said it is on county property, but it is surrounded by a small, rural neighborhood. I took pics of all the legible stones and several illegible ones and posted those as Unknown. Notice on one of the Unknowns, I posted a picture of a large tree in the middle of the cemetery that has fragments of 3 or 4 broken stones. I am sure one of those belongs to your 3 outstaning requests.

Thank you for the obituary from the Jackson Sun. It does contain some errors, most notably her brother and his wife listed as her parents. However, it does contain lots of good info and I have posted it on her memorial. Thank you very much!

I think you put her fathers info in for born and death dates. I also have a photo of here husband Henry A. Tepe born 1881 and died 01/21/1967. They donated land for city park on southeast side of Evansville. Tepe Park is being remodeled starting this year.

Found Emma Walsh buried to the left of Minnie and William Walsh at Oakhill Cemetry. Her marker said she was born May 10, 1914 and died Sept 27, 1914. She is listed in the born and death records for Vanderburgh County. If you make a memorial for her I will post a photo of her marker.

I will have to do some checking. I am familiar with Clayton Cemetery, but have no index. It is not listed in my cemetery book. I am in Linton often and will see what I can find for you. I will be in touch.

My computer just did something weird, so I'm not sure if you got the message I was trying to transmit. I wanted to let you know that the cemetery lady, though not terribly gracious, did eventually supply me with all the info I asked for, so you might just get lucky. I may stop by and ask about the Martins in person, though. Are they husband and wife?

Gee, Mike, I've no idea if there's an online directory, but I suspect not. When I stopped by the Rose Hill office to try to find the location of the graves to photograph, the woman sounded totally ignorant of, and pretty much uninterested in, any cemetery-related Internet sites. She made me leave my list and mailed it back to me the following weeks with the locations written in. Tell you what: I have to go back for more photos in a week or two - if this heat wave ever breaks - and I'll be happy to stop by the office again and ask about the Martins, if you give me their dates. (She's such a grumpy individual that I take a certainb perverse pleasure in pestering her!)
Incidentally, sorry the photo wasn't better. Rose Hill generally keeps up its grounds pretty well, but we've had so much heat and so little rain these past few weeks that the grass there - and all around here - is brown instead of green!
