Hi, I believe your unknown burial of Clara #138241663 is the same as my actual burial of Clara #59899269. I was wondering if you would consider combining them or I can transfer if she is a relative?

Yes Steph, the Osborn line you sent are my relatives. My Dad was named Phillip it appears although we all knew him legally as Stephen Odom Osborn. Thank you so very much. Jacqueline Osborn

RE: Thank You
You are very welcome. I'm so sorry we couldn't get the stones overturned, but we hope to go back with the proper tools and get it done and replace the photos. It was a bonus for me because I realized the Campbell's were distant relatives of mine. Nellie Ada Campbell was married to my great uncle, Leon "Lee" Brown.

RE: Phillips
Hi Steph
I apologize for the long delay in responding to your questions. My mother passed last year after a long illness - she lived in Pasadena, Ca so I was traveling up and down the state of Ca, living from a suitcase. I am just now reading over the Osborn Phillips history. Yes, my ggp are Stephen and Emily Phillips. My GF is Odom Osborn and Bertha Phillips. I have posted pictures on my site that I was happy to receive this year. My aunt and cousin had kept them over the years.

Thank you very much.... let me know if we are connected!!

Looks like your memorial was on site first, and mine is the duplicate.
So, I will delete my memorial and add gravestone photo to your memorial.
Thanks, Gene

RE: Hi Mountain Traveler
Your information posted on James W McCollum looks good to me. I thought it could be a 2nd marriage, but one never knows when they are not familiar with the lineage. I'm happy with it.

The Puzzle...
I noticed the age of Lula Collier
1910 Census... Age
Head Dock Collier M 34 Tennessee (DOB 1876)
Wife Lula Collier F 26 Tennessee (DOB 1884)

Darthula Rikard ~DOB is abt 1873 (based on the 1880 US Census) (Lula is almost 10 years younger than Darthoula ~ according to this Census)...

I am considering: Eliza A Rikard (1870 Census)and Louisa A Rikard (1880 Census) are one and the same...
also wondering if Minerva E is Martha Elizabeth...Rikard???

1870 U S Census
James Rackard 35
Malinda Rackard 31
Susan Rackard 13
*Eliza A Rackard 9
James L Rackard 7
Cordelia Rackard 5
Sefrona Rackard 3
Henry Rackard 11/12

1880 Census
James W. Rikard 46
Malinda C. Rikard 47
*Louisa A. Rikard 17
James L. Rikard 16
Cordelia V. Rikard 14
Safrona E. Rikard 12
Henry R. Rikard 9
Darthula Rikard 7
Minerva E. Rikard 4
Porter Rikard 2

It seems that Darthoula and Barton Rines' children are living with their maternal grandparents... in the 1900 and 1910 Census.
while Darthoula (Thula) is living with T C Woods in the 1900 and 1910 Census... that's odd!!

1900 U S Census
*Thomas C Woods 38
*Thula Woods 29
Montie J Woods 16
Addie M Woods 14
Willie H Woods 13
Elihue Woods 11
Mary E Woods 5
Ida L Woods 2
Robert L Woods 11/12

1900 United States Federal Census
Home in 1900:
Civil District 10, Jefferson, Tennessee
*J W Rickard 65
*Malinda Rickard 61
Porter Rickard 21 (son)
Mary Rickard 21 (daughter in law)
Delbert Rickard 2 (Mary and Porters Child)
*Marten Rines 9 grandson
*William Rines 5 grandson

I also saw your post on Find A Grave for Porter William (Wilmer) Rikard... his headstone was erected by Cora Colyer.... HMM!!!

Oh my... like you, it drives me crazy to have all these different pieces of information... My mind is about on overload.
I have a friend who is a genealogist... I may have to call her and see if she can sort this out. She has a trip planned for Scotland in September. If we are still searching when she returns, I will see what suggestions she might have for us.
Steph, just curious, where do you live?
I live in Forney TX~ about 25 minutes east of Dallas!
Happy Searching,

The world does shrink with the internet! Have a great one! Steph :-) Added by Steph on Sep 06, 2012 8:42 AM Steph [Send Reply] RE: Carters Cemetery Hi Susan, It is the same cemetery. It's easy to understand the confusion because the line is very close. Combine that with the fact that some death records list it as Hamblen county thus you get two conflicting locations. Carter cemetery is listed in the book Stories In Stone Jefferson County Cemeteries Volume II and is listed on the Jefferson County Genweb as belonging to Jefferson County. I already mentioned that it is on the Jefferson County map. Thank you for your kind response. All the best, Steph P.S. If you are descended from the Rickards you are related to my husband. Darthula & Cordelia's parents are James Willie-#47175137 & Melinda-#47175182 If you want to link Darthula-#91357082 to them it would be great.

information- is this the correct Darthula married to Thomas C Woods

[Send Reply] Puzzled about Darthula Hi Susan, I'm puzzled. The only marriage record I can find for Darthula Rickard is: "Tennessee, State Marriage Index, 1780-2002," Lula Rickard, 1898 name: Lula Rickard event: Marriage event date: 04 Jan 1898 event place: Jefferson,Tennessee,United States gender: Female spouse: Dock Collier page: 54 They are on the 1910 census: self Dock Collier M 34y Tennessee wife Lula Collier F 26y Tennessee son James W Collier M 12y Tennessee son Uleses Collier M 9y Tennessee son Sherman Collier M 7y Tennessee son Logan Collier M 5y Tennessee dau LouisaJCollier F 3y Tennessee son WilliamTCollier M y 0m Tennessee These are the marriage records I found for a Thomas & a T C Woods. "Tennessee, State Marriage Index, 1780-2002," Thomas Woods, 1883 name: Cordie Rikard event: Marriage event date: 11 Feb 1883 event place: Jefferson,Tennessee,United States gender: Female spouse: Thomas Woods page: 23 "Tennessee, State Marriage Index, 1780-2002," T C Woods, 1897 name: Darthula Rines event: Marriage event date: 21 Feb 1897 event place: Jefferson,Tennessee,United States gender: Female spouse: T C Woods page: 36 If you can I would appreciate help to clear this up. They had the following children *Meade (Minnie), Addie, William, *Richard, *Lihue, Mary Ethel, Carday and Robert Leonard Woods. Cordelia died 21 April 1896 where? T C then married her sister Darthula RIKARD born Jan 1872 married Feb 1897
Children of this marriage: Ira Thomas- who married Annie WARD; David Reese and *Idea Lou
T C Woods died 21 Dec 1932 and is buried in the 100F Cemetery in Farmersville Tx

Rickard family
Hi Steph,
I am looking for the grave of my great-grandmother Eliza Rickard Cate. Somewhere I read where she is buried in Carter Cemetery with her parents, James and Malinda Rickard. I would love to correspond with anyone who has any information on Eliza. If she has a grave that is unmarked, I would like to check on getting a marker for it. Thank you very much. Kathy

RE: Andrew Harrison Cody
Well maybe you can fill in some blanks with the siblings of Andrew & Madison. I have as FULL siblings to them Tursey[sic]Jane 1859-1909, Joseph Mack 1869-? Eliza Malzina 18871-?, Laura C 1872-1953, Mitchell 1874-?, and Ada 1880-?. They are Jacob 1826-1909 & Susannah Gann 1842-1909 children. I have found in a census Jacob was also married to Elizabeth last name possibly Gann, I am assuming a sister to Susannah a MUCH older sister. I am also asuming Elizabeth died in childbirth with her youngest child Francis 1855-?, I also have Margaret Jane 1845-1936, Mary 1848-? Before 1860, William Robert 1850-? and Francis. Are you on I am on there as Norman and Cody family tree. The biggest mystery I have is Susannah & Elizabeth were they sisters and how and when did Elizabeth die. If you have any death dates on anyone that I do not please let me know. Do you have any family photos of Jacob? I can only trace lineage to Jacob do you know who his father is? Thanks for your help and let me know if I can help you.
Robbie :)
