Thanks for this page on GW Clark. I'm researching or rather helping someone research H.G. Clark and his wife Pearl Calvert Clark and can't find Pearls Find-A-Grave marker in Los Angeles. I've sent for a certified copy but would appreciate any leads you might have.
I am just taking over the Myton, UT cemetery from Blaine and Elaine Berger from Salt Lake City. The work is important and I'm a newbie but hope to be able to fill the shoes that have begun this journey to Finding all the graves.
I'm the Mayor here of Myton and it's a small town of around 600. We probably have as many Unknown graves as we do Names of people we know are here but don't know where. I'm sure it's a common dilemma. Anyway I want to thank you for all your hard work!

I have just begun to look at these records. My father was Lelia's only son. Her death date is correct; however, she was living in Lynn when she passed at the Lynn Hospital. I just thought I would add information that I knew. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Thank you for the photo of Charles Towle. BTW: His brother's first name is "Joseph" (as per census record, "Joseph W. Towle"), even though his grave lists "J. Warren Towle". Perhaps he went by "Warren" since his father was also a "Joseph." Thank you again for your entries! - Mel

You're welcome! I was just trying to make sure I connect the son to the right mom, and though, "Hmmm..." I'm sure it was a copy & paste mistake where you thought you copied but still had someone else's number...or didn't copy the entire number and it gave you someone entirely different. I know these two mistakes because I've done them. Often. ;o)

|John Glassford||Hi Again!|
Sorry I just read your first SAC and see you like graveyards. I do lecturing and old graveyard tours every year in the Andovers (Mass.) for the Historical Societies. I am doing 2 graveyard tours this year, one in my town of Andover (Spring Grove Cemetery 1800's -to-current) week of Halloween, and the other at North Andover (Old Burying Ground from 1600's) on Oct. 4th. If you'd be interested in attending either one of these of let me know. I am also giving two more lectures, the one on October 1st is at the Andover Historical Society and is on gravestone symbolism and a second lecture on Victirian Era Death and Dying (oddities surrounding it, etc.) in November at North Andover Hist Society.

|John Glassford||Hi Again|
I had my friend Eileen Dodge look into this issue and here is what she said regarding Elvira Eames Buck # 68334606.
On her birth record in Wilmington her name is listed as Eloives Eames, daughter of Joab born 26 Sept 1806. On her intent AND marriage record to Joab Buck her name is listed as Elvira Ames.
Marriage intention in New Bedford on 2 April 1831
Marriage in Groton on 26 Apr 1831.
So Elvira Eames, Eloives Eames, Elvira Ames!!!

The birth place info regarding Wilmington is on the death records I have posted on the memorial. It does not provide birth date but it does provide place of birth. A lot of interred in Reading Records are listed as being born there with date but it seems that info was just taken off what was once a legible stone and added to the records without the recorder knowing actual place of birth, just knowing the date itself and sometimes Reading is in fact place of birth. I'll look into this and make the appropriate change to the birth once/if I can find it out via birth record or some other source.
