|Marsha Smith||RE: Pauline|
Kate, I transferred ownership of Pauline and Charles Young to you. Are they relatives of yours? My mother and Middie Young were best friends when they were girls. My grandfather stayed with the Youngs in a big house at the corner of Portage St. and Lake O Springs Rd. back around 1905 or so when he came to the area from Versailles, NY to work for the gas company. The Brown family and the Young family became very close.

Kate, I can't find the memorial of which you are speaking. Would it be under a married name? Can you give me more info?

If you ever return to the Mineral City Cemetery, I found something that may help find the stone for Jacob Steinbaugh/Stinebaugh. I found the page I copied from the Tuscarawas Co. Cem. Records for Mineral City and it isn't in alphabetical order, so I have lots of names of stones that are close. If you are going, please contact me at email@example.com
I will send the list to you.

Thanks so much Kate for taking the pictures of Gust & Katie's stone and Sarah & Charles' stone. I would like it very much if you transferred them to me. I didn't put a memorial on for Curtis & Lena as I though there was aready one posted. I will look.
I assume you couldn't find one for Jacob Steinbaugh/Stinebaugh.

Kate, I started to put the Steinbaugh records on Find A Grave, but it is late and there are too many. There are many Steinbaugh's interred at Greenlawn also.

|sunseray||RE: Jacob Steinbaugh|
According to the book, he is listed as being buried in the Mineral City Cemetery. His wife's obit says Mrs. Mary Stinebaugh, wife of Jacob Steinbaugh. No wonder there is such a mixup. When you go back, if you see other Steinbaugh graves, would you take pictures and notify me. I have a whole book of Steinbaugh obits, but I don't have them on Find A Grave yet. If you take the pictures, I will get them posted.

Katie, Due to probably not being able to read or write, Jake has various spellings of his last name on legal documents. He was born Steinbach in Port Washington. Some of his brothers changed to Steinbaugh while one remained Steinbach. Some of Jake's papers also say Stinebaugh. I listed him as Steinbaugh as that is what all of his children went by. I live in Indiana and a local library has Tusc. County Cemetery Books. The book says the cemetery has a stone for J. Stinebaugh 1881-1944. The Tusc. death records says Jacob P. Steinbaugh died Jan. 19, 1944 ~~ 77 years, 6 mos, 17 days ~~ buried Mineral City. His baptism record says born July 2, 1866. Why they have 1881 in the cemetery book I don't know. Perhaps it is a typo or the stone wasn't legible. His grandson is still alive and was at the funeral and has also seen the stone(years ago).
