Hi Vicki, I haven't forgotten you. I went out to the cemetery twice and only spent a little time but didn't find them. And as usual, no one there wants to help. I will be going again and not giving up. I'm trying to do my own little map with the areas listed and drawn since there are so many requests for that cemetery. If I can ever draw a decent (I'm a pitiful artist!) picture of the place, I'll label it and try to put it out there for others to use.LC

JP White
I found the headstone for JP White, but there is already a different memorial already set up for him. It is under his full name, James Phelps White. There is photo's of his headstone on that memorial. IF that is not the right JP White you are looking for let me know and I will go back out. :) Kristina

I added the one of hers by herself, and then I got one of her and Grover.

RE: Grove Hamrick
There was a maker for Beulah Stevenson Hamrick next to him. I took her picture too.
They are two different markers but their side by side. If you want it List it and I will add her picture also.

Starnes - Tomlinsons
Hey Vicki,

I've just started to dig into my family genealogy and the memorials you manage on here have been a great help!

Also, assuming you are CW Tomlinson's daughter, we're also related, I'm Karen Burk's daughter. I'd love to see anything else you have for that side of the family.

RE: Curtis Lazenby Photo Request
I don't mind going since that part of downtown Fredericksburg is so beautiful. The stone only reads "C. Lazenby, GA" but I might have better luck in the early morning when the sun's light is at a better angle. It'll probably be next week before I can get to it.

Curtis Lazenby Photo Request
Dear Ms. Vicki,

I took some photos of Curtis Lazenby's headstone today. I used the flash on my camera, but the inscription is still kind of hard to read. If the posted photo is not to your liking, I am happy to go back (perhaps early morning when the light is better).

Hi Vicki, Sorry, no pictures yet. I've been miserable with a cold and infected sinuses. 2 rounds of antibiotics and I am finally feeling better. I plan on going out there soon and will let you know when I post or get the pictures. I feel like getting out today. LC

RE: Kirkpatrick
What a shame. This cemetery has many, many, many requests and none of us here in El Paso, Texas can fulfill them. The people there act very possessive. If only they would give the section, row #, etc. They've got a big problem there and I wish there was someone who we could report them to. I live less than 4 or 5 miles from there and would love to fulfill the requests, but the people treat me like a convict! I don't understand why they treat everything so secretive there. It's really pitiful. Call me a genealogy addict!

Hi Vicki,, It is very hard to find the gravesites at Restlawn cemetery in El Paso, Texas. The people working there are extremely reluctant in helping to find them. If at all possible, please call the cemetery and ask for the location. Say you are a direct relative who will be visiting soon. Maybe that will help. If you notice, there are a lot of unfulfilled requests there. This is why. So please call and ask if you can. Good luck.

anut Hattie
Thanks for seeing the date. I went a head and put in the correct date for Hattie . The SSI records has her born 10 Oct 1902 but 1903 is the correct date. It is funny that I make more mistakes on the people I am closes to . Thanks again Brenda

RE: Price
You are quite welcome. It was a fun Saturday outing. I'd been to this (new, big) cemetery for a funeral, but never to photograph. It looks like it needs a lot more photographing so I have many more to post and will have to try to go again.

RE: John Oscar W Anderson
Yes, that's correct; if you read the caption, I lay out the logic. The location given on the "memorial" page is an unmarked space. Unfortunately, the current version of the Forest Lawn web site doesn't retrieve enough entries for common names like John Anderson to point to the specific record.

The phone number given on their web site is 888-204-3131. Oddly, the version on the printed site map I have is 800-204-3131; I'm guessing they both work.

Can't imagine how I made that mistake! Probably because I was working late into the night. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, and it's corrected.

RE: George Davis Tomlinson
Went to digging and was able to link George w/wife, Edith Davis Tomlinson. I linked some of the Lanes, too. (Violet Davis Lane was Edith's sister) Whenever there is a family plot headstone, I always post that to the individual's memorial, as well as his/her individual headstone. So, the Lane-Davis-Tomlinson marker is the family plot marker wherein several related families are buried.
