Mount Royal Cemetery Photo Request
Mount Royal Cemetery has 165 acres. The burial plot location must be supplied so a volunteer can go take the photo.

You can get this free information by filling the form here: www.mountroyalcem.com/index.php/en/our-services/genealogy-menu.html and in the "Desired Service" field, select "Burial Location (free)" and enter the information.

If the Genealogy page was not helpful then email your request to genealogy@mountroyalcem.com

The cemetery will email you the location (3-10 working days).

Have the memorial updated with the plot number.

You will have made it possible for the photo to be taken.

I have a copy of all of the headstones in Holy Trinity, but over 50 of them are unknown. Meaning that
they have fallen over on top of the names or have been moved and placed name down or they are just unreadable. The photos were taken in April 2014 and April 2015.

Any other memorials for Holy Trinity that you currently have on here I do not have a photo for. I may have some of any others that you might want.

Walter E McPherson (1884-1950)
Hi there, I was at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, Florida today and I regret to inform you that I was unable to fulfill your photo request. I checked with the caretaker -- Walter is indeed buried there, in the Garden Addition, near Mendell R. and John W. McPherson, who I believe are Walter's nephews. Unfortunately, Walter has no monument. Grace R. McPherson (1889-1978) is buried at the head of John Wm., and "Baby" McPherson (1948) is buried at the head of Mendell. Walter is buried just to the north of Baby. Neither Grace, baby, nor Walter have monuments.

I am glad someone found the graves you were seeking. I apologize that I missed them.

Antioch A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery
Florence,
I walked through the church cemetery and grave yard looking for those on your list. Unfortunately, I only found those matched your information and posted the photographs. The situation in this particular cemetery is that several of the graves are identified with a headstone made of concrete and the writing is either etched in or written on. Many of the graves are barely legible. You mentioned that you have death certificates for those you are seeking. Can you provide full names? Maybe they were not buried with their given name, but by the name their loved ones used to refer to them.
I will be glad to return, since it is only about 20 minutes from home.

Sam Simons, 121934923
This afternoon I attempted to find several graves listed on Find A Grave at Antioch A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery.
I did find a Sam E Simons, but his DOB: 6-20-1888 and DOD: 7-18-1956. There are several Simons buried in this cemetery. Other names that seem to have a presence in the cemetery include, McBeth, Billie, Wilson, Jordan, Bostic, and Davis.

Please let me know if you want me to post the photograph.

William Bratton
I was unable to locate the grave of William Bratton. I am going to try to contact somebody from the cemetery to see if there is a record of the grave and if they can give me a location. Some of the stones are unreadable to me. If I find anything I will be sure to let you know.
Best Wishes!

Chas S Rouse (Find A Grave Memorial# 3200257) You have posted the wrong headstone picture for Charles S. Rouse, because his grave location number is incorrect on Findagrave. It is actually Section U site 10160. Charles was originally buried in the Tompkinsville National Cemetery in Tompkinsville and moved to Nashville in 1867. Thank you, cc

RE: Spears Creek cemetery
you wrote "Spears Creek Cemetery is on Percival Rd, just above Fort Jackson. Florence"
The problem here is that Fort Jackson is in Columbia, and no where near Florence. The cemetery I went to was Spears Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, just off of Percival Road, near Ft. Jackson. James A. Davis was not a marked grave in this cemetery. Two of us spent well over an hour looking at each and every marked grave there. Some were difficult to read, but to the best of our knowledge, he just wasn't there.
You also wrote that his death certificate stated he was buried in Florence. I can not find a cemetery listed anywhere in or around Florence with that name. I am sorry, but I just don't think I can help you with this one.
In the mid 1950's many cemeteries/graves were moved as the then Camp Jackson was expanded. Perhaps some of the confusion comes from that.

RE: James Davis
It came through as a request for Richland County, not Florence County. I will put this back out for someone else to claim, but next time I am headed to Florence I will check to see if it has been fulfilled.
