|Mike Deaton||Lecy Ward Freeman|
Lecy's husband, Archibald Lee Freeman is my 1st cousin. I have a question, if I may. Archibald and Lecy are buried at the Archibald Freeman Family Cemetery in Star, Montgomery County, North Carolina. Do you happen to know the location of this cemetery. I was born and grew up in Montgomery County and would like to visit this cemetery on my next visit back home.
Cave Spring, GA but born and raised in Troy, Montgomery County, North Carolina

|Justin Treadwell||David W. and Isabella Treadwell|
I see that you have done a lot of work in the Treadwell family in Georgia. I am the great, great, great-grandson of David W. (born March 26, 1826) and Isabella Treadwell. Do you have any idea how to locate their graves? Thank you so much for the help.

Yes Sir. I have them as being married on their memorial pages. They are my paternal grandfather's maternal grandparents. I was very happy to find their resting place.

I created the above memorial that you have placed a copy of the death certificate in the photo section.
Please remove this death certificate. Thanks so much in advance.

I have in my records that an Asa Brooks married Lucretia Webb, daughter of John Webb and Barbara Jones who lived in Anson County. Is this correct or what information do you have on that. I have seen the Asa Brooks married to the Pope but I don't believe that is the right Asa.

Charles, did Aunt Lucy have any children? Was she married before she married Uncle Bonnie? You can check out the following Memorial and see all of Bonnie's siblings and their parents:

You are absolutely correct!!! Also, a lot of people on Find A Grave are only interested in numbers and many of them won't transfer a memorial even if they don't know the person they listed.
My Father's brother, Major Bonnie McWhirter, married Lucy Treadwell, as you know. I never met Aunt Lucy and Uncle Bonnie but once and that was one Christmas about 1952 when my Aunt Ethel took me to see them. Aunt Lucy gave me two "turtle pins" to wear on the lapel and they had mother of pearl bodies, and would you believe I still have them? I have a couple of pictures of Uncle Bonnie on his memorial.
It's nice to meet you, too, Glenda McWhirter Todd

Charles, are you related to Lucy Treadwell McWhirter?
Added by GMT on May 05, 2014 5:09 AM
I went ahead and transferred the two memorials you had information. You didn't ask but I am not related and you share a name AND had LOTS of information. :)
Thank you for all the hard work on F.A.G.

I never got your e-mail about Dr. Campbell Crutchfield. What I wanted to tell you is the information you sent was not consistent. I am going to leave the information as it is on the stone.

Thanks for the update. I am related to the Scott family through my Granmother. Martin L. Scott was my Great-Great-Grandfather. Don't know how the son escaped my linking.
I didn't do a lot of research on the Scott Family as they had been so well researched.

I made the request to add Mary Long's parents to Gilie. I'm also using the spelling: Huneycutt as opposed to Honeycutt. Terry

Charles part of the Brooks family has been trying to get in touch with you. Seems like one of their family members has unknown family he has never met. He's 71, just had 5th surgery for brain tumor since January. Retired Army wants to connect with brothers and sisters.

Since you didn't include an email address on your previous messages I was stumped on how to contact you - then I found this. I hope you get it.
It appears we are related as Henry Treadwell is my 3G Grandfather. I hope you understand that I am happy to edit any valid changes and appreciate your hard work.
Apparantly your cousin, Mark

Charles I have listed the parents of Charles Franklin Smith under his bio. Thanks for this information. Do you know where they are buried?
By the way, I liked what you said on your profile.

I am in awe of your work!!! I have only been researching for a short time. I am a descendent of John & Mary Brooks. My great grandmother was Daisy Brooks. Her children were Aaron Andrew Brooks, Bascom "Bass" Baxter Brooks & Catherine Brooks Sheppard Hopper. (the children should have been named Sheppard... long story) Up until last year I had no clue who my family was. Thanks for posting all the info you have, I have really enjoyed getting to know my roots.

|Dorothy Wilkie||RE: Re: Ellen Williams|
I also do not trust all the information on grave markers....dates are often wrong, and the names, good grief, they are sometimes very creative. I just was checking that Ellen Williams' photo was on the right memorial. I put a note on the photos that the dates are off.
