Hi I grew up in Litchfield and am the great grandson of Walter G. Gates who is buried in Lone Elm Cemetary and the son of Warren & Viola Currey who are buried in Litchfield. I appreciate the work you do. Because of your efforts I was able to trace my family back to the Revolutionary War, when Ephraim Curry (my great-great grandfather) fought on the British Side!

RE: Heinrich Wilke
Hi Linda,
It was my pleasure to get the photo of Heinrich Wilke's headstone for you. I don't know if you noticed but I took photos of other Wilke headstones and the family plot while I was there and added some of those to findagrave as well. Best of luck to you in your genealogical pursuits!

Grave Outlook
John and Anna Matejka

I appreciate that you took the time to photograph my paternal grandparents, John and Anna Matejka. I grew up in Ravenna, Nebraska, but now live near Seattle, Washington. Researching my ancestors is a new hobby and I don't expect to be there in the near future.

Many people benefit from your kindness in updating Find-a-Grave.

Warm Regards,

Sherri Matejka Page

Sharon Matthews
Dana & Emma Razey Headstone
Hi Linda:
I would like to Thank You for taking the time to take a photo of my grandparents gravestone. They (Dana & Emma Razey) use to own the farm across from the Cemetary. I was born on my grandparents farm (Clara & Charlie Brabham), but my parents moved to Calif. when I was two years old. The best memories of my growing up was when I would go back and spend the summers with both sets of my grandparents.
Again thank you. Sharon Razey Matthews

Thank you for the photos of Charles N. Davidson (1857-1948)#44853912, his wife, Laura Smith Davidson (1867-1905)#4853774, and daughter, Helen Jennie Davidson (1888-1906)#96312245

Charles Nathaniel Davidson and Laura Smith are great X2 Grandparents of mine and their daughter, Helen a 2X-Great Aunt. Thank you so much for photos of their headstones!

Although I have typed up three books I am only an amature historian. My mother, Bonnie Tolman Rollins, wonders if there was any connection with her great-grandparents, Charles N. Davidson and his wife, Laura Smith to that of the Mormon Pioneers who crossed the plains.

Well, I hope to one day find out about this.

Thank you once again Linda! This was a very nice miracle you have given us!

Lucille Knerl Okrina Riden
Linda, thanks again for your pictures. I've submitted an "edit" request to Lucille's memorial asking that the cemetery be changed from Highland PARK to just Highland. I've also requested a picture for that headstone - so could you go ahead and fulfill it with the picture you've already taken? Hopefully then the duplicate Lucille can easily be deleted.

Linda, I just requested a picture of Helen Ridenour's headstone in HP. If my hunch is right, she is probably on the same headstone or close to that of Ray Ridenour - she was his first wife; Lucille was his 2nd. Should be interesting to see what develops!

Highland vs Highland Park
Linda, I think part of the problem is that Lucille's name was spelled wrong in the Highland Cemetery (her 2nd husband was Ridenour, not Riden). It looks like Ray Ridenour was infact, buried in Highland Park - but I really don't think Lucille was based on the Ravenna rootsweb cemetery site. I'm guessing someone thought Okrina was her maiden name - not husband #1 - and assumed she would be w buried with her Ridenour husband. Also, the majority of Lucille's Knerl family is buried in Highland PARK.
