Thank you for adding the information. I just noticed, however, that the DOD you have and the date on her headstone are off by one day....

Hi Sandra, is it possible that this tombstone actually reads he died in 1888? The family emigrated from Norway in 1868 and dod not arrive (first in WQuebec) until August of that year - I have their documents for the immigration. Thanks so much for making the memorials, Judy

RE: John McAffee photo
In looking at the photo more closely, it looks like this is the grave stone for J. Alden McAffee, the son of John McAffee. Do you want to attach it to his Memorial, instead of John's?
It's Find A Grave Memorial# 89845595
Also, did you happen to snap a photo of John's or his wife Adeline? I'm not certain Adeline is buried in that cemetery, there is no memorial created for her yet.

I'm not even related, just trying to fill in some blanks on a cemetery here in PA that we are trying to complete documenting.
Thanks for helping me piece this puzzle together! :)

Yes on the Copenhagen question
for Lars Nelson. And looking at his memorial again, that photo I posted of him in old age, in the chair on the porch - if he didn't have the beard, he would look just like his grandson Nick, who was my Grampa Nick. Grampa was very thin like that, and used to sit with his legs and feet in the same position.

As of yesterday, all 7 of Lars and Marie's children are linked to them:)

Obits
Very cool that you are adding those to the memorials. I don't have access to those sites, and as with other informational sites, I don't intend to pay access fees, as I have so much I can contribute otherwise, that it keeps me forever busy.

BTW, I have not seen the obit you sent we for William Nelson. I need to download and install a conversion program first. So I wouldn't mind if you added that to his memorial . I am going to click the edit button for his memorial to give you a bit more info.

Thank you:)
Teresa

Thanks for linking:)
I should do a bit more of passing along info to you, as I know of another child of Elsie Soley's, Olavis (Olaus) J. Soley. He is in Arkdale's South Cemetery. My grand aunt Laura Nelson Tolsted took us to the abandoned farm that was Olaus's, when we went to Arkdale in 1978. I have a few nice photos. And, a sad thing about Elsie is that she died 3 weeks after arriving in the USA.

Thank you so much for all you do!

RE: eli ellis
Hi Sandra,

We must be distant cousins! I also have been reseaching this Ogle/Ellis family for many years. I have a copy of some of the burials for Wyreka cemtery taken from microfilm. Eli's information was included as well as many others that I have not entered as yet. His parentage is not in the info that I have. I happily share family information but we would need to do that privately.

Thanks for making contact!!

Arkdale
Thank you for all the work you have done for my family, creating memorials. I am going to add some photos, and add you as a friend. I was born on the west coast. Because of my genealogy interest I took a trip to Arkdale in 1978, where a sister of my great grandfather was, with all her siblings passed away.

C Halvorson at West Arkdale Cemetery
I believe the "C Halvorson" buried at West Arkdale Cemetery is Christian Halvorson. I was checking Civil War records on Ancestry.com today, and came across a records for Christian Halvorson, 15th Regiment, Wisconsin Infantry, Company D, ranked in as a private, ranked out as a corporal. The only other "C" Halvorson that served in the same unit was named Claus, and he both ranked in and ranked out as a private. I'll see if I can find more info on Christian and Claus Halvorson.

Leazer
Thank you Sandra! I don't know where they are buried at this time but I wanted to link them with their children. Another descendent contacted me (descendeded from their son Robert)with some questions and I thought it would be helpful. George and Margaret's son Moses descendents are my cousins, as his daughter Lena married my cousin who, like me is a Knapp descendent.
Their daughter Lydia Eva's descendents are related to me also through the same Knapp line.

Thanks! If you have any obits, photo's that you would like added to any of the Leazer memorials I hold, be my guest.

RE: Tucker
If I have my facts straight and everyone else that has done research on this specific Tucker line has their research correct it appears that Edward Dow Tucker was my maternal grt-grt grandmother's 2nd cousin so I guess I am a family member although distantly.

Thanks so much for making the additions. I am connected to Moses and Martha daughter Lena Leazer through marriage, who married Archie Secrest, who is son of my great grand aunt Jessie Knapp.

Smiths photos
Sandra,

Thanx for the photos...... now I at least I have a death year for both of them....

The Hovey Smith stone threw me at first until I looked and Allie's first husband was a Hovey.

I don't plan on pursuing that line.

Thanx again,
Scotty
