RE: Photo of Martha Volentine
The memorial for Martha Volentine has only 4 photos posted...not the maximum allowable 5. The cemetery sign photo is not posted directly to her memorial. It is automatically displayed from the cemetery page.

Lost Documents
Hi Ted, hope all is well. Lost all info due to not saving files, even lost contact list. If its not a burden to you, could you please email me the documents you have on grandfather Walter and Ruth, if I recall it was about 4 documents.

Thanks and best to you and family

RE: Photo of Martha Volentine
I apologize for taking so long to respond to your request. Two of the photos that I had posted have now been deleted, so you should be able to post the photo that you have.
I believe that her name was Martha Elizabeth COONS Volentine. Lorie Wilson left the "S" off the maiden name. I thought that the maiden name was COONS, but I could not be certain until I cleaned the monument before taking the photo in 2013.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't know if anyone other than the original poster could remove flowers reason for the question. Really enjoy Find A Grave and the people working to input information are awesome!

Ted so appreciate the correction, was just wondering two things since the tree you probably looked at online is not on my computer anymore, did you remove the flowers I added? and are you the son of Joseph W Holmes? Again, appreciate the information, not sure where I got the other name from.

Thanks so much for the very clear photograph of this previously blurry and unreadable headstone. I will note in my attached notes that you were the person who took this photograph. I did not expect an answer this fast. Much appreciated and many many thanks for taking the time to do this for a complete stranger whom will likley never be able to do anything in return.

Pruitt kin
Hello Ted,

After checking the memorials for my Pruitt kinfolks in Mississippi, I see where you connect to James Jimerson Pruitt, born 13 May 1808. J.J. Pruitt was an older brother of Nancy Pruitt, born 1819, died May 3, 1859. Nancy Pruitt Ainsworth was my great great grandmother. Her husband was David Spence Ainsworth, born 1822, died 1901 at Skullyville, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory (later Oklahoma). David Spence and other relatives left Mississippi just after the Civil War and migrated to Ark and Indian Territory. Check my memorials for your Ainsworth cousins and other related families. I have posted an interesting obituary for David Spence Ainsworth on his memorial. Are you familiar with the paperback book "Letters to Margaret", written about 1980 about the Pruitt's in Mississippi and Texas? Is there in chance you would have a photo of Nancy Pruitt Ainsworth? Best Regards and thanks for your work with "Find a Grave".
Milton Ainsworth Stephens, Spiro, Ok.

Mary Bryan
Gladys Holmes & husband Alton
Hello Ted:

Last month I was at Epps Cemetery and took some random pictures looking for other relatives...I did take a few pictures of the Holmes's headstones but since there was not a death date noted, I didn't take a close up of that section of the stone...I did take a full picture and a close up of Gladys Rai Barr Holmes and up loaded the picture to your memorial page and noted that Alton had passed in 2008 but it was not up dated on his portion of the stone.

There is a memorial site for Alton Holmes with a headstone from the military and the double headstone with his wife but no date of death on it...I'm letting you know just in case there was an oversite.

I sent a photo request for Oscar Allen Smith's gravestone in Epps, he is my grandfather. I uploaded a few pics of him I have but I have not been back to Epps since his funeral. The effort is appreciated.

RE: Vaden in TX
Thank you for the offer to photograph the tombstone if possible. And thank you for the memorial for Jasper. I have him ( and his wife Erma on my website, but I did not have the place of there burial and I don't have any information on their descendants.

Jasper is not part of my wife's Vaden line (directly), but I do suspect they are related as both lines appear to come from the same area of Virginia.

I will add the burial location to my data.

Thanks again,

Charlie Vines

Thanks so much for fulfilling my request for a photo of Cynthia Whites gravestone. She is my GG grandmother and the oldest ancestor that I have been able to document on my White line.
Your help means so much to me.
