|Kathie L. Webb Blair||Merry Christmas|
Thank you so for your sweet note. Christmas is hard for me as my mom passed Dec 28th, just 3 days after Christmas. My mother was finally diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and told us in Aug 2002. Four months later, she was gone. I have seen some famous people become ill with this awful form of cancer, like Patrick Swayze, who starred in "Dirty Dancing" and died in Sep 2009. I hope you and your Loved Ones have a Happy Holiday. I am grateful for this site as we never stop mourning the loss of a child or parent and I feel this is a healthy way to grieve. Take Care and God Bless you and yours.
With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, OR

|Joyce Tinsley||RE: Aunt Thelma|
The last I heard she was still alive. My cousin, Betty (Tinsley) Rader (daughter of uncle Cecil Tinsley) hasn't said anything about her passing. Betty stays in touch with her sisters that still live in the area and Helen (Tinsley) Rowland's daughter. Helen Rowland is the only one left of uncle Clarence Tinsley's children. Uncle Cecil was the youngest of Bill Mose & Jennie Tinsley's children and all but two of his children are still living and I'm the only one left of the Leilus Tinsley family and Thelma is the only one left of Montie's family and there are still 4 left of W C's family. I think that covers all of them.

|Shock||RE: Who are you?|
No, I didn't know your son. I stumbled across your son one day when I was leaving flowers for memorials. I seen he had a picture up and he looked friendly, with kind eyes. So I sponsored him so that you could leave all the pictures you wanted to on his memorial page. You and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Added by Shock on Nov 21, 2014 12:41 PM
I try to visit with the ones that I sponsor as often as I can. Do you object that I visit with him? If you would like to go into further detail please send me an email, mine is listed on my profile page.

No, I never knew David, I am a stranger. Just wanted to leave him some tokens, he was a very handsome gentleman.

I transferred the three memorials you ask for. I remember the Ervine family because Donnie & I ran around with each other when we were in our early teens. If you have contact with him please give him my e-mail address of email@example.com. Thank you.

|Sharon Pearce||RE: My Pearce|
May I express my sincere sympathy for your loss. I lost my mother last year under evil circumstances. Your kitty somewhat resembles my grey tabby.
I was in Indiana and southwest Ohio the third week in September 2013 and visited 21 cemeteries. I want to be more active on cemetery restoration as conditions are causing the stones to fade, including not enough hands being available in current generations to clean the lichen and reduce the black spotting. You might say, this trip, I obtained the lay of the land and took some photos. I now have to put voice overs on the photos before I start sending them around. Mainly gravestones.
I was in Fayette Co. and visited Dale, Lick Creek, Shrine of Memories, and Everton Cemeteries. No one of mine at Lick Creek I now realize, but at the other sites.
Are you aware of the Pearce-Ennis Furniture Co. in Rushville about 100-120 years ago. Different Pearce family, but may have connected long ago.
I have our line back to Benjamin and Anna Willis Pearce in NJ about 1755. I am looking for a Pearce married to a Colville, various spellings prior to that. I think our line will trace from this Benjamin back to Rehobath, MA and possibly to Duxbury/Plymouth, MA. Also need to find out about the marriage of Benjamin Parce (Pearce) to Sarah Southworth in Sussex Co., NJ; they were there in 1790; though the cemetery lists a Sarah Parce as dying about 1788. The Southworths go back to Plymouth colony. I don't know if this Benjamin was your ancestor, my Willis Pearce's brother, or their father, whom I strongly believe to be the Benjamin Pearce married to Anna Willis.
Long ago, online, I found a male Pearce in New England married to a Colwell female, but just can't find it now. That is where I am at right now. I lost my web group page at Rootsweb for inactivity. I am trying to figure out what my new one will look like and where it will be.
I plan to relocate to Oregon next month. Happy holidays.

Klum cem. is on private property so when I got permission to go up to it i wrote and photo every headstone I found and could read. You might check the Fayette County library to see if they know where the records are. There was a cemetery down the rd east of klum that was back by a creek and was washed away in a flood many many yrs ago, @ least the markers were. I would start with the library and see if someone can look up the obits in the microfilm. If they died before 1882 Indiana was NOT required to make out a death certificate.

I have no problem transferring him to you. I am not related to the Pearce's. My grandmother and her 2nd husband, an uncle and other family members are buried in Aline and I try to go there when I get back to Oklahoma. I look for headstones that are newer than the last time I was there and photograph them in case they are not already on line. Hopefully you can get to the parents that way. Thank you for all you do.

|Joyce Tinsley||RE: Lena's oldest son, Richard|
Hi, It's great to hear from you. I think I sent a message once asking you to link Richard to his mother.
Most of my info on Aunt Montie's family was sent to me by Gertrude's sister Genevieve and cousins Elsie Faye Rogers and Frances Reed. I did almost all of my family research without the computer-the old fashioned way. I haven't been a member of the computer age for a year yet. I accidently found Find A Grave and decided to put all the family history on it. I've also discovered the "old" newspapers for KY and spend most of my time there now looking for family info. My problem with that is I keep finding all these obituaries for people I don't know and I can't resist making memorials for them or if they already have a memorial I send the obit to the creator of their memorial. This stuff is addictive!!!
Do you have any info on Richard's father Matt? All I was sent was he died before 1949 and he and Gertrude married 25 March 1946.
I have all kinds of info on a lot of ancestors and their descendants but I don't know where they are buried and that's why I spend so much time in the old newspapers. The sad thing about the death notices for most people back then is it only says so-and-so died.
I've had nothing but good comments on my memorials except for one woman that gave me a good bawling out telling me that Find A Grave was not a genealogy site and I wasn't suppose to make memorials for people that had no place of burial. I checked out her memorials and she had all kinds of people with no burial locations. I deleted her message and never answered it.
It's really nice to hear from family members because of the memorials.
