Hello. I added the photo to the memorial for Douglas Hastie. I put what is written on the postcard "behind" the photo. Just click on the photo to read it.

No, Kathy, sorry to say I don't know who you would contact for a list of interments unless it would be a local funeral home there - I don't live anywhere near there & I feel I must have found his obit somewhere online.

Hi again. If you want to get your relative a military marker you can contact your county Veterans office. They can help you get a memorial marker.

Good luck

William H Smith
Hi
I have walked the Cemetery at St Charles Mn numerous times I have not Located William Smith. Smith is such a common name. If he does not have a Vets marker of some sort, he could be easily missed. I will keep him in mind while searching.

Davidsons
Dear Kathy,
I didn't find any Davidsons in Corvallis, although I had a great, great uncle, Hezekiah Davidson who kind of disappeared in the Corvallis area after his 2 wives died, and sorely wish I could find him...(Find a Grave #s 53261918 & 28289495) Most of my Davidsons are in Polk County around Buena Vista and Monmouth, and Southern Oregon around Ashland, Grants Pass, and Oregon Caves area, that I am aware of. The Davidsons and Burkharts intermarried and were very close friends from at least the very early 1800's, on.
Something to think about..............

RE: Thomas Black
Dear Kathy,
I'm not sure, but I didn't find him in my family tree. I think I left him a token because he didn't have one and I wanted to leave one for him, also wanted to see if there was some way to determine his date of birth as I may have been looking for another family member. So we're related by way of the Burkhardts? That's really great, I'd like to know more. It's really late and I have to get to sleep, but would like to hear how we're related, see if we have any other connections. I did have a relative Anna Bridges, from Ireland, and the Davidsons spent time there after leaving Scotland when things got bad, for religious and political reasons, before going back to Scotland and then coming to America.

RE: Grave Stone for 126255898
I don't believe there is a place in our town to get grave markers/memorials. One place in La Crosse, Wi. is La Crosse memorials. Oak grove cemetery in La Crosse might sell markers. I am not sure. I can check on the info you asked about the Smith plot but it won't be for several weeks. There are many Smiths in that cemetery!!

Kathy,
I cannot add the headstone photo to Virginia's memorial because there is a 5 photo limit.
Let me know if you choose to delete one of your photos and I'll gladly add the headstone photo.

RE: broken stone
Kathy, Sooo sorry.
The broken stone is not a Smith stone. It is for Brown family. I just got the names mixed up.

broken stone
Hi,
I noticed one of the markers is broken for Lilly Smith. I took the original photo last fall and just by chance noticed it yesterday broken.
I took a photo because I like family members to know when this happens in case they may want to have it fixed. Feel so bad when I see this.

RE: prospect hill cem
No, I did not find a marker/stone for her. I don't have a map. There is a large one at the H. Society once in a while I go look at it. Otherwise I just walk the cemetery.

RE: harriet connell prospect
Hi Kathy,
Yes she is buried there for sure in the Smith plot. Lot 132 on the road going down out of the cemetery. I looked this up at the historical society. I volunteer for them doing current obits. That is why I put the photo of the large grave stone with Smith on it. Hope this helps.

Regarding his date of death, I found the information online in a copy of in The History of Monona County, in the biography of his son-in-law, Henry Heisler. Here is the link: https://archive.org/stream/historyofmononac00chic#page/n438/mode/1up

It gives his date of death as February 6, 1886.

RE: Robert Marshall Burkhart
Dear Kathy,
Would you please add the wonderful photo you placed in Geneva's memorial into her husband's memorial as well? He is Find A Grave#105588905. Do you have any idea as to when the picture was taken? It looks just like him (but younger) in the article I had from when he was made Chief of Police in Albany. We lost him all too soon. Thank you so very much! With all Sincerity, Kathie L. RE: Betty Geneva Burkhart
Dear Kathy,

Thank you so very much for the information regarding Betty Geneva Burkhart, as well as the wonderful photo. I have amended her memorial to include her maiden name of Jacobs. I only wish I had kept in touch with all of the people I met at the Burkhart Picnic back in 1987. She was a very nice person and I'm so grateful to have more information about her! With All Sincerity,
Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, OR
(Her husband, Robert Marshall Burkhart, was a great grandson of Raymond Sanderson Burkhart, my gt., gt. maternal grandfather's (Leander Columbus Burkhart) brother, or my mother's 3rd Cousin.)

Sorry Kathy, not sure what I asked about. I only see your answer and now my question. I am working on the children of Ezra & Hannah Robertson Maynard today. They had a daughter Hannah (1825- ) who married a Robert Dinsmore. Does that help?

Thomas W and Thomas Maynard
Hi Kathy,

I am curious as to where you got the dates of their deaths. From what I find, the father, Thomas W, died in 1886 and the son died in 1882.

Thanks,
April
