|The Angel Hunter||Iva May Jones|
Are you sure your Iva isn't memorial 42823197? Iva Biggerstaff? I'm finding this Iva May Jones married a CHarles Biggerstaff and a George Ledford. This is through family trees on Ancestry.com, so it has a possibility of not being correct. The Iva I am seeing has parents names Nathaniel Jones and Nancy Chappell??
If so, then the memorial at Lincoln Memorial is not your relative, however, I will still drop by to grab a picture anyway.

I will try to go there this week and look again. The cemetery's records are all on paper cards, and if I by chance transposed the death year, they would be looking in the wrong box for her card. I'll see what I can do.

|Baxter B. Fite III||Captain Franklin "Frank" Hitchcock|
Dear Alicia, Thanks for your kind words regarding my biography of Captain Hitchcock. I love writing about these guys and telling their story. I undoubtedly will do so to anyone who will listen until the day I die. I have linked Frank to his parents. Thanks for letting me know someone had added sites for them. I also have put in photo requests to have all the Hitchcock sites photographed. I have local friends who photograph sites for me, so hopefully, before too long pictures of their tombstones will be added to their sites.
I would be interested in any reading anything else that you might care to share about Frank or his family. Thanks for all you are doing and thanks again for the information about his parents. Sincerely, Baxter

The information that you supplied does not match, in any way with the information on the
headstone. It could be the wrong Wilbur R. Alford.

I have added the obituary information to Eugene.

No don't have any proof that she is buried with Zenias, I am sure she is but no proof. I have a death date for her of 13 August 1934, but even that is questionable. If you run across anything that would give us a location or anything please let me know.

I am not related to the Alford line so am transferring the memorial to you. My thinking is that someone in the family should maintain.
Added by Liz Freeman on Aug 02, 2013 10:40 PM
I noticed that you managed a number of the Payne memorials, so thought you should have the one I created. I took a picture of one of the Payne markers for someone else a while back, and created this memorial because there wasn't one. I am not related, so felt you were the best person to manage it.

Hope you don't mind that I transferred the Payne family memorials that I managed at Phoenix Pioneer cemetery in Oregon to you. I'm not related and don't have any more to add so thinking you could manage them better than me.

Hi--thanks for the nice words!! I am working on the Linn County delayed births at this time. They go from 1855-1912. Took over 30,000 digital images, so it will be awhile until I am done!! Have done about 10,000! If you have any family in Linn County, I can't tell you how much information you might find on the delayed births. They have delayed births for each county, BUT I will only be working on Linn. I have found school records, drivers licenses, trappers licenses and my all time favorite--copies of the Bible pages! If you have any family in Linn, I will be happy to look them up for you. You could also check the Oregon Archives web site and see if there are any family members in another county. Thanks again, Diana

|Bob Wilson||Photo request for Henry Alwood at Eugene Masonic Cem.|
I went to the cemetery today looking for my own two photo requests, so while I was there I figured that I'd look for the others too. If I calculated the lot correctly, this lot is occupied by Henry J. Attwood (# 34206625), with the same birth & death years. My educated guess is that it is a duplicate. Similarly, the dates for "Hannah Alwood" are exactly the same as those for Hannah Attwood in the official listing of the cemetery. It appears that somewhere along the line, someone cloned (almost) the Attwoods, so now we have both Attwoods and Alwoods.
While I was there, I also took fresh photos of the 4 Alford graves which were nearby, although they look pretty well covered at Find a Grave. But I can send them to you if you would like. I took two shots of each, and they are around 4 MB each.
Have a wonderful holiday season!

If I'd read the other messages, I'd have seen that someone has checked for you and that there's no marker. I hope the list was interesting anyway!

Re your request. The cemetery he's in is on a hillside and we're a very rainy area. If no one else has been brave enough (as I am not) to tackle the area, I'll try to find him when our rainy season's over.
In the meantime, here's a list of those interred:

Alicia: You are welcome for the transfers. We joined Find A Grave for personal satisfaction, however found that it extended beyond that. I was so gratifying to know that so many people were in search or anything related to family. Our joy transitioned when we found so many gratified people.
Although he is no longer with me, I carry all the memories we made together while photographing the cemeteries that we visited. I am so thankful that our work is appreciated.

|Chris A.||RE: Photo Request for Henry Alwood|
I found the family area at plot 156 in the Eugene Masonic Cemetery for the Alford family. A stone was not there for Henry but there were stones for Grace (mother), Emory (father), Joanne (daughter) and Helen. If you give me your email address (or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org), I'll send those photos to you.

I took the picture of your cousin's Urn today and found her husband Cecil as well. In the niche next to them was another Youker. First name is Richard Clair. I don't believe that there is a memorial for him yet. I will create one and post the picture as well.
