Well, we havn't gotten any snow yet. All around us, but not snow. Just frozen ice.

Thank you, thank you ever so much & God Bless.

Thank you for trying.

I have added a Whisnant Cemetery memorial. Maybe someone will know where it is. It could be under a different name.

Hillmon b. May 16, 1939, d. Oct 1, 1990. Not sure if he is related or not. Will post pictures shortly. Hope this was helpful

Jacob Ellis Blakley
Hi Dawn,
I believe your husband and I are related through the Blakley family. Apparently through Jacob Ellis Blakley and Elvira Guinn. Jacob's father, John, was an out of wedlock birth of Nancy Whitaker. Nancy married Augustus Blakley in Washington Co Tn 27 Dec 1852. She and Augustus lived in Sullivan Co for about 20 years and then moved to Lauderdale Co Tenn where Nancy died in 1915. John was born John Whitaker 1846 in Greene Co. Tennessee, he then assumed the last name of Blakley from his step father. His birth father is unknown. I have put John's family up on find a grave except for Jacob Ellis and wanted you to connect him. I am also related to Elvira Guinn back through the Rector family, which goes back to the 1714 Germanna settlement in Virginia.

John was first married to Hannah Beals 13 Aug 1868 in Washington Co Tn. Hannah's are Ellis Beals and Mary Robertson/Robinson of Greene Co Tn. Hannah's sister Ruth Beals married a cousin of John's, Etsel Whitaker, son of Winton Whitaker. I have contact with descendants from Etsel's family that can give you information on the Beals family if you want.

Here is John's information to connect Jacob to his parents

RE: Emma Alexander
I am the same way..grin. I searched for another "Emma" and have not, so far, found another death cert. I can email you the one that I found if you want me to. I just feel everyone deserves a memorial and a place to be 'remembered'. Thanks for all you are doing. Feels good to know that there are others out there that still care. M

RE: Emma Alexander
Amazing! Not likely they made a 50 year mistake.
Thanks for checking that. Sorry to bother you.
Death cert states age clearly as 89.
Thanks, Martha

RE: Emma Alexander
Is it possible that it is 1830 on the tombstone?
I know it appears to be 1880, but the carving sometimes chips away, you know? Seems so strange. Death cert states Abt. 1831...Thanks

RE: Emma Alexander
GREAT save! :-)
Seems that this Emma died on about the same day..strange. Must be a different person, though. Thanks for seeing that. Martha
