RE: Baltimore

St. Patrick, which currently is part of the Catholic Community of St. Michael and St. Patrick, will become a mission of the new Sacred Heart of Jesus parish. Father Wojtek will serve as pastor.
Maybe try St Patrick?

No. I don't have any records for this family. I got the info from a Reed Family book that was published in 1929. I have not been able to establish a connection to this Reed family so I did not pursue any records.

I have deleted the duplicate memorial for Joseph Eberhard. Does the rest of the family need to be moved as well? If you would like I will transfer them to you. I am not related to them.

RE: Maria Barbara Fenstermacher
The only Lauer I have is an Emma Lauer (b Jan 1895) to Tilghman Lauer & Mary Mae Fox who married Robert H Fenstermaker (b 1919 in PA). She may be a descendent. I have no further info on her, but Roberts parents were Gerald Burkhart Fenstermaker (AKA: Jerald B) & Daisy E Huber.

Like I said, I am trying to link all the FENS in Find A Grave, so if you are patient I will probably find your missing link along the way. Maiden names are so seldom documented in the early years that it's really hard to trace them in a straight line.

Regarding not finding them in the census - most names get misspelled, you might try alternate versions of the name - that's how I usually find people:) JMartin

Thank you so much for the transfers. Nice to know you are starting to feel better. As I stated before, I am attempting to link all the "Fens" together in Find-A-Grave, so maybe within the next year or so if you check in on the family files I will have made some major connections for you.

I also thank you for the additional information about your relative, every little bit of info makes it that much easier to find people. Happy New Year, JMartin

Hi Heather,
No problem. Perhaps I can try contacting the newspapers directly. I lived in Bethlehem for a few years and remember The Morning Call being a big paper in that area. Does that paper cover Allentown, too? Thanks again!

Nathan Thomas in West End Allentown
Hello Heather,
First of all, happy holidays! Second, I was thrilled to see the photo of Nathan Thomas's headstone in the Union-West End Cemetery in Allentown that you posted. I am a direct descendant of Nathan's and have been searching for information on him for about a decade. Very little information of him exists. I saw that you mentioned his obituary in confirmation of his actual death date (which is incorrect on the stone). I've looked on websites of those local papers but could not find any obituaries back as far as the late 1800s. And since I live in NY and get to PA very seldom, I'm not sure where else to look. Do you recall where you found Nathan's obituary? Thanks so very much for any information you might have.
Thanks!
-Rachel

I don't need a thing. I was just planning on checking back with you to see how your accident stuff was doing... and I saw the sad news about your nephew. Boy, you have really been hammered lately, and all I can say is be kind with yourself and patient. Physical healing and grief both can take time. Besides understanding how lousy a car accident can be, I had two parent losses this year and completely understand what you are saying about not finding it easy to be on the site at the moment. Just do what you need to for now to find peace and healing... our gone folks aren't going anywhere... at least not anywhere here on earth :-) Take good care, will check in later. Sincere sympathies and very best wishes.

Wow, half that cemetery is darned impressive indeed. No doubt with work and kids you are buzzing a lot, and I was very sorry to hear about your car accident- though you don't mention your injuries, you have my blanket sympathy, having been hit by a truck myself. Be patient with yourself is the best advice I can suggest.

Thank you for keeping your eye out for my Bear/Clauss there whenever you do your uploads or take more shots. Glad to know Blanche and Edward Kehs rang a bell for you, the parents of my teacher. No rush on anything... just take care of you and get better. Best wishes sent your way for sure.

Just a note to say thank you for the good work you are doing at Union. I recently found that some of my mom's Bear ancestors are there, and while you haven't photographed their stones, I couldn't help but notice your contributions. If you ever run across Amanda Bear, give me a shout- she may be under Amanda Bear Clauss (which would be correct as she married a Clauss) or Amanda Bear (as she was on her own much of her life and seemes to have gone back to using Bear).

In your bio I saw you are interested in the Kehs surname; I have one here.
