RE: David Hechter gravestone
Hi Leti,

I just spoke with Frank at the Home of Peace Cemetery and he was able to find this gravestone. It's in Beth David Section C, Row 1, Grave 11 (there was some confusion since this used to be a separate cemetery and later merged with Home of Peace in the 70s). Would you be able to please take a photo of it next time you're at the cemetery?

Thanks so much,

Thank you so much for taking this photo! Regina was only 7 when she died. My grandfathers beloved little sister. He told many stories of her over the years - so glad to find her at Holy Cross.

Leti, Thank you for the photo of Harry Applebaum's grave. It was interesting to me that you pulled the Austria bit. Did you get that from the front office?

Thank you very much for taking the time & effort to photograph the graves for the HERSHMAN family. The photos you sent me were fabulous, good quality & perfectly framed. There was also the bonus of their son Lieut. Joseph N. HERSHMAN whom I didn't know anything about.

It is a great shame there isn't a similar idea operating in England as it is BRILLIANT.

I will now endeavour to find more family graves and hope that these too can be photographed.

Many thanks once again,

Thank you so much for taking this photo. We have been searching for him for a long time. You would not believe how grateful we are for you doing this for our family. Were there any other Smith's around him. We do not know who he is married to or if he had any children. It would be great if we could find that out. Thank you again. We appreciate it.

Thank you very much for contacting the Home of Peace cemetery office and trying to take a picture of this gravestone. I'm sorry that it was not there. My information that David was buried there was from his death certificate which, it appears, may have been incorrect. I will try to call the cemetery office, as you suggested, to be sure. Thanks again - I really appreciate your effort.

Isadore Siegel, thanks!
Thanks very much for the photo of Isadore Siegel. That is grandfather of a relative of mine. The grandfather had TB, and hoped that the LA sunshine would help him, but unfortunately it was too late. She's only saw it once, many decades ago, and she had to crawl under the fence to get to it, aand the grass and weeds were overgrown. She'll be glad to see how it looks now. Much appreciated! - Mark

I cannot thank you enough!
Yes, Sarah is his wife and the picture of her gravestone would be really helpful as well.
Again, thank you so much!

Hi Leti,

Thank you so very much for posting the picture of my grandparents gravestones..I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. It was so very kind of you to take the time to take the picture and I just want you to know that I probably would not have gotten to see it. This means so much to me since I never knew them and have to get to know them through genealogy and this sure helps!!many many thanks..
