RE: Klauka-DeGroff
Thank you for the photos of the Alma and Gertrude grave marker. I believe Hezekiah Degroff and Henry Hezekiah Degroff 1877-1918 are one and the same person. Many records that I found have Henry H. His marriage record has Henry Hezikiah De Groff. Mary Klauka Degroff's death certificate states the burial is at Meade Cemetery. So she must have an unmarked grave site. I take it from your subject line Degroff is spelled DeGroff. I usually see it with the lower case g, but have seen it with the upper case G.

Again, thanks for your help and time.

RE: Majka child
Is there a name for the child? I could then tell you if they are related.

RE: Miller headstones
Who were the other Millers / family buried next to Celestia A Miller.

Did you see Simon P Miller's stone and if anyone was buried next to him ?

RE: Miller headstones

Will you put them on or do you want me to ?

I usually try a wire brush and then white chalk if I can't read them. It is surprising what it does.

Thanks again so.... much

Miller headstones
Thanks so much for taking the photo of Celestia Miller's headstone. I appreciate it so much.

Do you know if Simon is buried near her ?
That would be her grand father

RE: Ralph Cavanaugh - Memphis Cem - MI
All I do is transfer the memorial to you using the edit feature on the memorial. Once you have the memorial in your name, you are able to update the memorial yourself instead of sending update requests to the memorial creator. I will transfer these to you. If I have any others that you would like transferred please let me know. Thanks Jill

I have added him to his parents. I thought I had done this when creating the memorials. Would you like these memorials transferred to you?

John Steven Horger

I had claimed your photo request for John Steven Horger. At first I didn't realize that I was looking at the wrong John. Then I saw that Shirley's dates haven't been added yet and that there isn't any information for John Steven.

The headstone doesn't look the best. I cleaned it off as best I could but I believe that when they set the stone it wasn't cleaned off properly - it's like a concrete film.

I'm over at the cemetery a lot so I'll check back in a few months to see if the headstone has been changed.

Take care,

Samuel Denison
Thank you Sheryl for the exceptional efforts to first find Samuel, and then make the extra efforts to help restore his headstone. We are indebted to volunteers like you who unselfishly assist historians and families bring old soldiers and family members back to life through these public venues.

Samuel was part of the western frontier and his time at Ft. Buford Dakota Territory will give him a special place in our state's history.
You are an example of how Find A Grave should work for all of us who wish to share, transfer sites and obtain photos for the purposes of genealogy and history.

You'll be first on our list for any other old soldiers we find in your area! Thanks for being a part of the Yellowstone Historic Lodge support team!
