Same as Edward. Edward, Thomas and Joseph were all brothers. If you do not wish to transfer I can forward information to you to add to bio. Thanks

Edward Oakes
You have listed his parents as Edward and Harriet Oakes. Is it possible that Harriet could have been mistaken for Juilette? Edward is brother to my husband's ancestor Joseph Oakes. I have much information regarding this family. If you do not wish to transfer Edward to me I can forward information for you to add. Thanks

Grave Seeker
Maple Grove Cemetery
Someone brought to my attention that there are two Maple Grove Cemeterys, same location on the map, where there should only be one.
You should email your message below to

It looks like they took over the memorial. Plus, I think only Findagrave can change cemetery information once it is created. Either will help.

I consulted a county map and found out the following: The correct one is Maple Grove Cemetery, Layton Corners, Saginaw County, Michigan.

The incorrect one is Maple Grove Cemetery, New Lothrop, Shiawassee County, Michigan.

While the little town of New Lothrop is in Shiawassee, this cemetery is several miles north of this town and definitely is in Layton Corners, SAGINAW county. It looks like you listed and photographed this cemetery in 2009.

Not finding it under Saginaw County, I listed and photographed the entire cemetery in 2011.
If you would correct the town and county, I will delete my 100 plus memorials. I don't want to do so until it is listed under the correct county.
Regards, Sheila

Veronica Grohmann Gase
Thank you for transferring Catherine McIsaac Ball. I have a question about another memorial that you manage. Veronica Grohmann Gase, Find A Grave Memorial# 124349560. Do you know anything about this person? I am curious because I believe that her daughter, Eleanora was my paternal grandmother's adoptive mother. I would love to know more, if you know anything about her or if you are related to her. I'm guessing you are probably not related, but I just have to ask.

RE: Annebell McLean
Sorry it took me awhile to reply... I've been splitting my time between my husband's tree and mine on so it took me some time to remember whose tree she was in. She is one of the wives of my husband's great grandfather (William Bosley). If you are a member of Ancestry or want to send me your email I can give you viewing access to that (private) tree so you can poke around.

In my research on Annebell I got very confused by her and her husbands. I cannot remember what all I sent you already so let me know if you need links to any documents and I can send them to you directly.

I ultimately discovered that you are correct and she had only 3 husbands. However husband #1 had an alias, which is what got me so confused. He married under one name and divorced under another:

Otto Emil Federau aka Harry Fenton
Their divorce record is what finally explained it to me; it says "Otto E Federau also known as Harry Fenton"

I am very sorry for the confusion I caused; this is the first time I've seen an alias on an "official" document and am so glad a copy of their divorce record was available or I would still think she had 4 husbands and continue to confuse everyone including myself :-)

On Ann Beebes stone she was 42y 10m 9d when she died so that puts her DOB about 1841

Hi Sheila,

Are you related to Catherine McIsaac Ball, Find A Grave Memorial# 93030520? If so, I would love to find out anything more that you might know about her. I believe that she was married to my paternal great great grandfather. I am curious how it was confirmed that she was born in Parkhill, Ontario, Canada. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

I had no reason to question the monument. I did do some research on her and there is very little info out there on her. I use to have her death certificate but am unable to locate it since we moved. On the monument it says she was 12 yrs. 10 months when she died. The next time I am in Fremont I will try to get more information.

RE: Mary Jane Spencer
Sheila: thank you so much for your reply. I thought perhaps there was a divorce in the family or some other reason why she wasn't buried by Hubbard. I've been at that cemetery twice no and did find Mary Jane's brother, David Cole or is it George, I have it on camera. I was about ready to give up searching when I found it close to one of the entries. (I think it was the north entrance) I have found most of Alfred and Phoebe Jane's seven children but not Alfred and Phoebe's deaths and burials. Thank you again Sheila, Sally

That is the # for Rose Oakes. I am wondering if the other 7 people buried with the last name of Oakes are all buried on the same plot. I don't see the burial locations listed. I am trying to find Rose great grandfather and I think he may be one of those that you have listed. Need to know for certain if all are on same plot or very near to each other.

The Grim Family buried in St. PaulscEpiscopal Mission Cemetery are my relatives. I was wondering if I could have their memorials transferred to me. It would be very appreciated. If you need individual memorial numbers I can give you those. Thank you again.

you have entered in the Episcopal Mission Church the record for her, I am wondering where the information came from and if you know if there is a marker. We were there this week and didn't find her but it is a large cemetery. You have the information of her parents, Alfred Cole and Phoebe Jane Valentine. What we are really looking for is her mother, I have her obit that she died in Albee Twp but couldn't locate her death record in the court house or Hoyt library. The twp said they couldn't help me.....I haven't tried the sexton yet.
Thank you so much for your work and if you could help I'd be forever grateful.

Missing Bolle family
Ronelda is my grandfather's sister. I have no knowledge of his side of the family, besides her name and Elanor's and their prospective husbands. In the last several years, I have filled in the genealogy tree, with the glaring hole in the Bolle family. I would like to reconnect the family trees. I want to find out about these people: their occupations, their passions, their hopes that may or may not have been realized in their lifetime.
My grandfather is Oscar Bolle, b 1918 d 1982. My contact information is Can you help reconnect me with my missing limbs??? Thank you.
