Bob-If you wish, I will transfer this memorial to you so that you can correct all the errors. Thank-you for the additional information. Love it when family finds their relatives, that is what it is all about!! I will certainly correct your data at the Holt County Historical Society!!

Bob, all of my pictures are on Find A Grave. I think I have photographed all the stones at Sugar Creek so my guess is that there is no stone.

Dooley Family
Hi Bob,
Thanks for the great photos at Judy Cemetery of the Dooley family. I am in the process of submitting an application with the Daughters of the American Revolution for Moses Reuben Dooley's grandfather; Moses Dooley.
Moses Rueben Dooley is my 4th great grandfather.
I didn't know how much you researched the family. do you have any idea where Harriett Barnes Dooley or Edisa Martin Dooley may be buried?
Best regards,
Sandi

RE: Mislabling of sisters as spouses
You are totally correct. They are sisters and the pages we created reflect that. We created these in 2010 and the NWMGS created in 2014. I am not sure why the NW Mo Genelogical Society did not check Find A Grave website before they added all these. Since these are my wife's great grandaunts, we are very clear on the relationship of these two ladies. I have made a request to change it, Find A Grave is currently reviewing the request. I would request that NWMGS remove the files for these ladies since we have created file in 2010 for them.

RE: Rachel
Bob, I can remember that we talked several months ago about your 3rd great grandfather, Edward Barnes. So we are cousins descended from Roston and Artilla Gill Barnes. I would like to find Roston's parents. I am sure they were related to the Barnes family that moved from Kentucky to Indiana and then to Missouri. Do you think that Roston and Artilla traveled to Buchanan County before they died? All of their children that I have found have lived in Buchanan county, also.

I am making a trip up to St. Joseph this summer to do some ancestry research. I have several other ancestors who lived in St. Joseph before they moved to California in covered wagons. I think they might have known the Barnes family. Their daughter, Parthena Peter, married Rachel's son (my second great grandfather) Edward Ray in California.

Thank you for all of your info.

The Barnes Family
I was so excited to see your comments on John D. Barnes who is buried in Judy Cemetery. I am descended from Roston and Artilla Barnes by way of their daughter, Rachel. What information do you have about this Barnes family in Buchanan County? I have had to do a lot of detective work to find the information that I have and I would love to learn anything else that I can about them. Rachel's husband, Joseph Ray, disappeared when my great grandfather was a baby. She moved to Iowa and remarried several times.

Lewtie Summers
May I ask you where you got those photographs of Lewtie Summers as a child and as a young woman? I knew her when I was a little girl and she was an old woman. I lived close to her and took her lilacs when they were blooming. We almost shared a birthday, mine being the 2nd of May, and hers the 9th. I miss her still, after all these years.

Hi Bob,
It's been a year now. Do you think they've added her death date to her memorial yet? Maybe a new photo would be in order.
Just wondering...

Hello Bob,
Thanks for his parents links. I've added them & went ahead & transferred his memorial to your care so you can keep him and his wife together. I do think it'd be nice to have that picture of him & her on his memorial tho. Just a thought.
Take care,
Regards,

Martha Harvey Jones
Grave Memorial# 61226429

Thank you for the biography about Martha. Her husband Richard was the brother of my 2nd ggmother, Sarah Alice Francis Jones.

Would you have any idea when William Jones (son of Martha and Richard) died?

I have Civil War pension file papers for Richard and for his brother and their father. Let me know if you are interested in them.

Elizabeth
