Fultz/Kiser photos
You have posted many photos of members of my family tree, and I am wondering if I could have permission to use them in my tree as well as keep them in my own personal photos.

Hi Kayleen,
I transferred her to your care. You may want to contact the person who holds her husbands memorial and see if they will transfer him so they are together.
Take Care,
Paul

Caroline Oney Patton
Hi Kayleen, I see that you are descended from William J. and Caroline Oney Patton. I am also, through their daughter Helen Patton. Have you been able to determine who Caroline's parents are? I haven't been able to locate anything. Would appreciate any information you have. Thanks, Brenda

W.H. Click
I lucked onto this site. You have listed W.H. Click at Bethel, W.H. was my great-great-grandfather, and I was raised on Bethel Ridge. My family has looked the cemetery over and haven't been able to find his headstone. Can you tell me where in the cemetery as related to the church house the marker is?

RE: Elza and Mary Belle
Thanks for getting back to me. You probably know Elza's dads name was Tolliver who I assume your grandfather was named after. I have traced the Wright's back to your 7th great grandfather James Wright (born 1671). They were Virginia quakers who moved into Ky (Letcher Co.) One interesting relative was the Famous "Bad John Wright" from Letcher Co. He would have been your 4th great grandfather Noel Martin Wright,s nephew.

Elza and Mary Bell
Elza and Mary Belle Wright were my grandparents. Arlena Wright Messer was Elza and Mary Belle's daughter and my mother. Chloe and Dee Wright were my Aunt and Uncle. I grew up next door to them on what was Elza's home place. Who were your parents and grandparents. Also the graves for all these folks and Elza's mom Mary J Pitts Wright Simmons are in Grassy Creek Cemetery. It is wrongly called Everman Cemetery sometimes. There is a Everman Cemetery just west of Grayson, Ky on US 60 and the two are often confused.

RE: Transfered Memorials
You may manage the sites for Chloe Wright, Dee Wright, and Hazel Wright, at you free will.

Interesting about your father in a 1 room school house (with 12 grades), being held him back in kindergarten because she felt he was too short to go to first grade.

My pleasure to get a glimpse of your family history. It's always a blessing in disguise.

RE: Duplicate memorials
Hi -

Not related to anyone at the cemetery. Let me know if you continue to have problems with the memorial sites. You should be able to cut and paste pictures and add the family link ID #'s.

RE: Duplicate Records
Hi -

I transferred the management of the site to you so that you can manage both listings, and delete the one you no longer need.

Thanks,

John

William Lewis Campbell (1833-1900) and wife Emily Smith (1838-1897)
Hi Kayleen -

I am descended from William Lewis Campbell and Emily Smith, too, and hoped you might be willing to compare notes.

I have William Lewis Campbell's parents and have actually just learned the maiden name of his mother's mother. I have never gotten past his father, Lemuel Campbell (1802/7-1880), in my Campbell line and would very much like to. Do you know anything about Lemuel Campbell's ancestors?

A few years back I found Emily Smith Campbell's Smith ancestors. I'd always known her parents were James Smith and Phoebe Brown from a family Bible, but now I have the Smith line going a ways back. One of the things this Smith material documents is that Emily was born 09 June 1838 instead of the 1942 (and other various dates) that have previously been posted. I still cannot go past Phoebe Brown - she died when she was only 30 years old and had the audacity, as a Brown, to marry a Smith - so it's no wonder (smile).

I'm also interested in the Moore line and have only this week discovered that Grandma Lydia (married Daniel Moore, grandma to both Alfred Moore and William Lewis Campbell as mother of AMM's father and WLC's mother) who is buried near Emily Smith's first husband Alfred Moore at Horton Cemetery was born Lydia McClain (McLain, McLean - and probably more variations). The source says she had 3 sisters (names 2 of them), but doesn't name the parents. Sure would like to move on that McLain line.

Anyway, I enjoy sharing info and hoped you might, too.

I'm at jlchipman@aol.com.

Blessings,
Janice

RE: Elizabeth (Waldorf) Officer
Between my original photo, your note as to who they were and a guy at Ancestry.com's tree titled Officer we connected all the dots. I dropped that guy a note and he's already uploaded the tombstone photo to his tree.

RE: Elizabeth (Waldorf) Officer
An interesting note entered under my own Thomas Officer, 1764-1817,in my Ancestry.com tree. He was the brother of David Joiner Officer who fathered Elizabeth Waldorf's husband.

Sheriff of Washington County, PA

terrythompson3added this on 23 Feb 2010

Thomas Officer was the sheriff of Washington County. His son Robert Officer also became a sheriff of Washington County just after his fathers death. His second son Thomas Officer was a deputy sheriff under his father and brother Robert and also the Prothonotary. See details in "Genealogical and personal history of Fayette County Pennsylvania, Volume 3", page 669. Google Book search use terms "Robert Officer""Washington County Pennsylvania".
