Peter and Alletta Stryker
Hello,
I recently visited the Neshanic Cemetery in New Jersey and I found the graves for Peter (#133284571) and Alletta Stryker (#119343513).
I noticed that you have made pages for them as well in Iowa. There are no images that are attached to the pages you have made for Peter (#74278373) and Alletta (#74278353) in Iowa. Are you sure there is a stone there?

I am going to link the Peter I made to his parents and I know you have linked your Peter to the same parents. It is possible there are two stones for the same people because they did live for 20 years in Iowa but they returned to New Jersey near the end of their lives. I'm getting this information from The Stryker Family in America VolI book.

Just wanted to let you know that it seams two pages have been made for the Peter and Alletta Stryker, one in New Jersey and one in Iowa.

Samuel D Stryker
OK. I spent a little time at the historical society and got the family relations straight. Samuel D Sr was married twice and some of his children are buried at the Flemington Presbyterian Church Cemetery. I have memorials for Samuel D Jr, Eliza C and I think one more that are probably duplicates. If you change the burial locations to the Flemington Pres Church Cemetery for Samuel D 1833 I can post my photo on it and delete the one I created. Thanks

Your memorials for Samuel D (the son), William and Eliza C are interesting. I have found headstones for people with the same names in the Flemington Presbyterian Cemetery- many dates correlate as well. Eliza C, the mom, died though in 1828, not 1858. Samuel Sr is supposed to be buried there according to the catalog at the historical society- couldn't find his headstone though. How did you come by your info for these memorials? I would like to verify before I create a memorial at the Flemington Church Cemetery for Samuel D Stryker Sr.

Shirley, DO you live by this Cemetery? If so Does Susanna (Susan) have a headstone? I am questioning my GG-Grandmothers birth and death dates. Thank you. Rjschlabach

I found the marker. The name matches the listing for the VA Department, Ralph A. and his wife is not on the stone. At least we found him.

I did a little more research and found the VA listed him as Ralph A Brewer and a memorial was created Find A Grave Memorial# 72473220. I can do a photo of his marker to see how it appears on his stone. I'll let you know.

I believe David Sanders Stryker's 2nd wife was Celia Mariah Stone (Stone being her maiden name).
There is a whole book on the Stryker Family in America that backs this up.

In South Branch Ref Church Cemetery I photo'd this man's marker and added it to his page. You have listed a person as spouse to someone other than the person that is listed as his wife on the stone next to him. I've photo'd that and added it also to his wife's page. If I did this in error please let me know asap and I will delete it

Flora Stryker
In looking at my memorial for Flora Stryker, I believe my memorial is a duplicate of the memorial for Flora E Stryker 1852-1872, also in Rockville Cemetery. The cemetery transcription that I got my information from only had one Flora Stryker. Since the other memorial has a photo of the gravestone, I am going to delete mine.

Margaret Stryker
Hi Shirley, I am just finishing up the correction you sent to me and am confused about this one. Her headstone lists her as Margaret Stryker but you have sent me Margaret VanDeventer Garretson. Was her maiden VanDeventer or was this her middle name? Thanks so much for the clarification. Are these people in your family tree?

Burials for McCrackens
There seems to be conflicting data on where Silas McCracken and his two wives, Mabel and Laura L. Public transcriptions do show Silas and Laura buried at Shell. Mabel is not listed in any transcription, but family history shows she is buried at Whaley.
