Photo Request
Could you photograph a site at Borovnica Cemetery? I have recently ordered records from Slovenia and on my wife's great great grandfather's death record, he is buried there. Likely along with some of his children and his wife, and maybe siblings and parents, but it's not set in stone (No pun intended). If you could photograph the grave, I would be very thankful as I don't plan on going there anytime soon. Thanks, Chris

Alex Sommers(Samotorchen)
Hey Don, I just emailed you, but I wanted to make sure that you have multiple ways to contact me. I hope that other people can help me with this too, so this is my background:

my name is Alex Sommers and my great great grandfather is lorence Samotorcan, who came to the U.S. in the 1890s because he got in a fight and thought he killed a guy. He moved to Chicago, Illnois, and was told by the family to come back, but he liked the U.S. So he stayed. The name was changed to Sommers in the 1910s. We have photos of a small house house or barn in Slovenia and a passport for lorence/lawrence, which says that he did visit, but we can't be sure because all of it is in Slovenian. I have information that Lorence's sister, Mary or Margaret, married an Andro Porento back in Slovenia, and they had one kid there, Stanley, yet they moved to the states between 1895-1920. I have a death certificate for this Mary or Margaret Porenta/Porento that says her parents are Jere Samotorchen and Margaret Furlan. I would love to exchange information, so contact me when you can.

Alex Sommers

I contacted the owner of the duplicate memorial and asked that it be deleted. Hopefully, this will avoid further confusion.

Have a good day.

If you typed as many obits as I do there are bound to be some errors and I try hard to catch them.but I wonder do you live around here? if it wasnt for me you might not have pictures of the smallwoods etc.
so you are welcome that I worked so hard to get them to Find A Grave.

43593800 in greenwood cemetry. I am not sure why you would put a obit from a newspaper in the picture section when I had taken the time to type it out and its where it belongs.
I believe that Find A Grave rules that those kind of things should not go in the picture section.
I appreciate it you taking the time to do that but since I worked for weeks on the smallwood family and went to the cemetery and to the library and put things on to make the site look nice?
I would really appreciate it if you would take it down. If you have any thing to add I would be glad to do so if you use the edit button
thanks for your help

Samuel P. Walsh
You sent me a Find A Grave correction for Mr. Walsh as birthplace "Unknown" although I'd entered His birthplace as Oconto, Oconto County, Wisconsin USA.

Are You related to Him? Census indicate Him being born in Wisconsin: 1905 and 1910 He's living with Parents Luke and Mary in Oconto, WI.

Thank You!

Donald, Otto Heerssen has been linked to his parents per your request. Is this a memorial you would like to have? Let me know if you do.

RE: Julia Szumanski
Please delete the memorials you created for Julia and Joseph Szumanski which are duplicates of the ones I made (#118798470 and #118798418). Thank you.

RE: Julia Murkowska
You don't have any memorials with the name Kurkowski but I do. Perhaps you know Julia as Julia Szumanski whose second husband was Jacinty Kurkowski, misspelled on cemetery records as Faccinty.

RE: Julia Murkowska
Sorry, she is listed as Julia Murkowska in the cemetery records, but you will find her under Julia Kurkowski. It is the same person. See memorials on the four people buried in this plot for details.

Please remove your duplicate memorials on the burials in Section G, Lot 115. I never refused to add additional information on these burials. I only ignored the request until I could confirm the information from the cemetery and have added that to the people buried in that plot. Thank you.

RE: Seavey (122489678)
I uploaded the pic to the original memorial. I did not create the duplicate which was created in a mass upload of forest home records. The person that uploaded the records does not respond to correction requests and aparently is not active anymore although corrections do get processed after 3 weeks or so. I am not sure how to get the duplicate removed but will see what I can find out.

Thank you... you did a good job on routing her to the current memorial.... We see this happen more often because of re-marriages, etc.
Thanks again!
