Memorial # 61871122
Concerning the Memorial of Jessie Karrick of Longwood Cemetery, Pettis County Missouri. He is my Great-times 4 grandfather, I was wondering if you are also related to Jessie Karick, and if not would you consider transfering his grave over to me?

Duff Cemetery near Mt. Vernon
I just have to leave a message thanking you for making such an effort to even find this cemetery, let alone photograph it. This is why I am so impressed by Find A Grave volunteers and county historians. I never would have found Ruth or Finis without you!

RE: Re: Ruth Duff Memorial
Again thank you Kevin!

These folks are not related, simply some who contributed to the well being of Carthage, MO, the town I left some seventy years ago, and haven't seen in over thirty years, but still interested in those that contributed to it before my days which started when my mother died April 1928.

RE: Re: Ruth Duff Memorial
Kevin, Nancy Brewer & I work together on many memorials, this being one of them and she advised me of your message to her concerning additional info. This is the maternal grandmother of Dr McCune whose name adorns the public hospital in Carthage, the second 50 bed facility built by my step-mother's 1st husband's company around 1929.

Please forward the information to me, thank you kind sir.

RE: Berea Cemetery, Cooper County
While I can definitely appreciate the desire for a photo of a person on a memorial, in my opinion this type of request is confusing to photo volunteers who automatically receive these requests as well as for volunteers like me who look for cemeteries to visit that have a large # of requests.
I believe the request a photo function was created for gravestone photos and hope that you will reconsider your use of it for other photos.

Betty Chandler, Peninsula Cemetery
fyi, I have added a new photo for your memorial for Betty. If there are other memorials in this cemetery that you are interested in, I have been adding and updating all of these that I can.

Berea Cemetery, Cooper County
I was looking at the requests at this cemetery and noticed that you had quite a few...yet at the same time, they seemed to have photos that you yourself posted. This leaves me a bit confused. Are you still requesting photos for these memorials??

RE: Re: Your Message
I'm refering to the Cornelius Corning Sr information and I am sure that you already know how you got that information. The real man that put together that information was not the man who gave you the information, which I know that you are well aware of that situation, as you were told you couldn't have the information because it was not complete. I have met the man that did the actual research and is still researching, he has spent many years devoted to this family research and to have someone post his work and give his son credit is disgraceful.

Michael Richey
John R. Richey
Just a quick correction: you listed John's place of death as Saint Clair Co, MO - his family moved to Cooper County during the Cival War and that is where he died - Kelly Twp, Cooper Co, MO. He was my 3rd great-grandfather.

I am ashamed that you acquired some research from a particular person that told you no on posting it but yet you used a son to get the info that one has spent many years researching and gave the son credit not the original researcher, in my opinion you do not research you steal.

RE: Re: Ruth Duff Memorial & Duff Cemetery
I will certainly keep this name in mind as I do research. I have listed some Corwine family in Park Cemetery in Carthage, but have not seen the name Cornine before. I'll look and see if I am able to locate anything here in the Jasper county records.
Will let you know if I run across the name.
Best regards,
Nancy Brewer
