I remember when
Lombard transfers
I apologize for being so slow transferring the Lombard family listings you requested. Somehow the request got lost in the inbox and I've just now found it. Thank you for being patient.
Best regards
Nancy

RE: Samuel VanSkike
I'm sorry to say that Armilda and Samuel Vanskike are not located in the Walla Walla and College Place area. I checked with the offices and they have no listings for them. Just the Samuel I took a photo of, Sorry.

RE: Richard & Nancy VanSkike
You're welcome, Trish, but I cheated by already having them!:) I've photographed the entire cemetery and there are quite a few more burials than what is listed, including more Vanskikes/VanSkikes. I haven't had time to go through and add the missing ones, but if there is someone you're looking for, I'll be glad to check my photos for them.
Also, in case you don't know, the grave of Robert VanSkike, Richard's father, was recently located and I've just added his memorial 87536067 in the Ray Cemetery. His wife, Polly Ann Halley Vanskike 87538947 is buried in Friendship next to son Richard S, and I've just added her memorial as well, in case you want to link them.
Thanks,
Nancy

The VanFleets
RE: Dominic and Elizabeth Minnihan
Also note the birth and death years on the memorial, and then the fact it says aged 75 years..very peculiar. I know that this particular person, if there is a photo, will normally post it, so I suspect they did not have one.

RE: Dominic and Elizabeth Minnihan
I walked the old part of the cemetery. The one Minnihan stone I found was the photo showing under unknown Minnihan, could not make it out, but does not appear to be them.

The only other Minnihan I could find was this one little stone that read Minnihan. I can't guarantee it's them, but not sure where else they could be.

Pamela Schisel
Mary Keeney in Avon cemetery
I was able to find a stone for Mary Keeney, but could not see any dates. It looked like it had either broken off and the top part reset in the ground, or the stone had sunk down to the point where the only thing visible is the name. This stone was right next to the stones of three Keeney infants who were the children of William and Amanda Keeney. If this is the Mary you want, let me know and I will attach the photo I took.

Samuel Fall @ Lee Cemetery
I contacted a 2nd man about the cemetery. The chart he has is a plot chart of the stones that are currently standing. He is going to send it to me, hopefully there will be something on Sam, but it doesn't sound good. Keep your fingers crossed. :o)

America Beck
I wanted to let you know that I went up to the public library to check the burial records for Boone County, IN. I didn't find that America Beck was buried in any of the cemetaries in the county according to the index. I just feel so bad that you cannot find her and I wanted to help in a small way. Is it possible she was under a different name? Let me know and I can check again if there are other possibilities. Good luck in your search! ~Sheena

I often go to Linwood Cemetery to transcribe names and do photo requests, but your name can not be found. I suggest you get a map from the Linwood office with the location marked. Scan and email the map- daveat1910@msn.com

K. Schaut
Ancestor Taarand
You're welcome. I so wanted to find her. Not only do I think she has a beautiful and unusual name, but I know how it is to know you have an ancestor in a certain place but unable to locate the exact spot. Please let me know if you want photos of any of the possible stones for her or other specific relatives you have in Gjerpen. I'm in no way a professional historian or geneologist, but I will keep thinking about this and continue searching.

Judy Hogan
Yeddie F. Pierce in 1900
On the 1900 census in Leesville, Henry, Missouri Enumeration Dist. 86 P. 14A, Chaffin Pierce (listed as Chafin) is listed as the FATHER of Annie (Anna Jane Pierce) and GRANDFATHER of Yeddie F. Pierce. Could Yeddie F. Pierce be the illigitimate son of Anna Jane Pierce? The 1880, 1900, and 1910 census records all lists his mother as being born in North Carolina as was Anna Jane Pierce. Mary Bales Pierce was born in Indiana. Also in the 1900 census it lists his father as being born in Missouri. The family was living in Missouri in 1880, the year that Yeddie was born.

SMG
Mary Bales Pierce
According to Judy Hogan, Chaffin was married three times...(1) Annie J Bohannon (2) Elizabeth Mahala Williams and (3) Mary Canady. All this is on Chaffin's memorial. No mention of a Mary Bales.
