How close are you to South Portland ?
Any where near Calvary Cemetery in Cumberland County by any chance ? A friend out here has memorials up for Calvary but no pictures of headstones. She doesn't have requests in as of yet .I was just curious as to how close you are...

Thank you so much for visiting my little one and leaving that wonderful message. Sometimes one doesn't know just how much their words can mean in the way of comfort and hope. I know that we will see him again one day. We have that promise and it's something we cling to.

Thank you again.

God's Blessings to you ~~ Solie & Cyprian

Hannah Seabury
Hannah Seabury of Garrison Cemetery, Pitcairn New York is now thought to be "Sally Spafford" of Cambridge, Vermont. Stephen Seabury, her husband, wrote a poem a year after her death that states they were married nearly 18 years (17 years have nearly flown) and Stephen's marriage in Vermont to Sally Spafford was nearly 18 years before Hannah's death. Unknown at this point why she would have used two different first names or if Spafford is a maiden name.

RE: Maine...
Hi Susan:
I have been in South Dakota since 1994 & I think this has got to be the worst winter I have ever experienced since arriving out here.Woke up this morning to a -27*,the 3rd time this week.October we got hit w/what they are calling
"Storm Atlas" & we was w/out power, water, phone etc for 4 days (longest 4 days of my life).
My Mom & 3 sisters & 1 brother still live in Maine,as I lost my precious Dad to cancer back in 1990 & my oldest brother to cancer a couple of years ago.
I noticed you visited my ex-husbands memorial & left beautiful tokens & for that,I thank-you but more then anything,I thank you for NOT criticizing me for adding a memorial for him after his death last May (Veterans Day).We may have been divorced but we had a beautiful daughter together & we all was able to become friends again 5 years prior to his death so therefore...I have no regrets :-)

I added you to my friend list, hope you don't mind.

Take care,
~ Beth ~

Poem quote

Thank you for sharing all the info-once again! I love your little quote about your ancestors! Did you write it? As with the current technology, of being able to photograph anything as ones own, w/or w/o permission was wondering if you would share it with me, or if you knew of a website or something to locate similar quotes?

Thank you!
Pat

RE: hannah Seabury
Hi Susan! Thank you for the reply and information! It is all so fascinating, addicting, and confusing! I know the Seabury family is large, as many are! I see you added flowers to these graves, so you are aware of them-not needing me to direct you to Stephen Seabury-and so on! However, living in Wisconsin, with myself and other cousins researching, and keeping info on Stephen, amongst others- we'll I believe Stephen died in Wisconsin as he also lived in Wisconsin and came here after the death of his wife Hannah. Also, the writing of his poem, which it have posted on his and the Hannah we are assuming is his spouse, as both gravestones indicate it as such- we'll this writing was saved inside a family Bible that a cousin of ours has possesses ion of. Plus, the newspaper clipping regarding his passing at his daughters home in Winnebago county Wisconsin. What cemetery are u referring to that he and Hannah are buried in together? Are you aware of where Stephens first spouse Sally Spafford is buried? I look forward to hearing from you!

Happy New Year!
Pat

hannah Seabury
Are you related to Hannah or Stephen Seabury? 107901713 or Hannah ? Seabury 28470164. our family is, and I have been researching Hannah for some time now. I am beginning to believe that Hannah is a daughter of Col John & Mary Seabury. Do you have any information, or know of any place to direct us too? Thank you for all of your work on find a grave!
