RE: I'm Confused....
This person has been bothering me for along time now. Then please don't get involed. I just saw you on that memorial and thought maybe you know him. I will not send a reply back to him as that would give him my personal email address. Thank you for returning my request. I know what to do with him now. I will delete your message. Your Friend, Stuart

Just wanted to let you know I updated his Bio on F.A.G. I noticed you left flowers for him. He was my ancestor and I have spent years researching his life.

CSA in Seattle
My great-great grandpa has a grave on here that says he was in the CSA. I often wonder where the native Americans stood in NW FL during that strong conflict. I wonder if they really got involved or stayed out of it.
Also, here in Seattle, i often check out the first cemetary here, high on the hill. In that cemetary, there are specific plots for CSA folks who must have relocated here after the war. I can understand them folks wantingto start over, after a defeat. It's called the daughters of the confederacy, Robert e Lee. SEattle must have been the best things them CSA did, I can imagine. Thank you for the thoughts

Thank you for visiting Buddy, he was such a gentle soul who loved to hang his head outside the car window, no matter what the weather was.

Its just a wish,

A sparkle of hope,

A flash of colour,

Sprinkled with gold glitter,

To brighten up the dull weather,

Its nothing special,

Not amazing in any way,

Just a care blown across the sea's your way,

Its love and compassion,

Maybe small but meant always,

It should not be abandoned,

Its just manners after all is said,

Yet may a smile form across your face,

As you read the message below I wish to covey...

THAT I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

IN EACH AND EVERY WAY!

To a loved friend by Ryan S.

RE: Bean memorials~
Hi- thank you:) I really appreciate it. Yikes, well I have been wondering about the situation, thinking they might be cenotaphs, I also contacted Bev who has the memorials there (I don't manage any of them) so she is assisting as well to try to sort it out and apparently she was unaware of the other listing. So, I had asked could the different names actually be the same cemetery, and from what you have said here yes. Wow, yes so a bunch of confusion. We had the same scenario where I live when one cemetery had three different names over the years and it was quite a task to get it all sorted out. Thanks again for your assistance it has taken me a while as well to sort the ought it all! :)

RE: Bean memorials~
Hi thank you. In the photo caption you posted for Andrew Derby Bean #50237661, his son Cpl George Bean was killed as a result of the Civil War 29 May 1863 at either New Orleans LA or died of disease in ME per the record I found, but this is not the one buried at Baton Rouge LA. The Pvt George M Bean who was killed in action at Baton Rouge LA 24 May 1863 and is buried in the National Cemetery there is the son of George W and Eunice who are buried in Grove Cemetery, Belfast, Waldo Co ME. It is confusing, I know, I had to spend a lot of time deciphering it. So, the caption needs editing to remove that info or to reflect this information, whatever you desire.
My Mom and I DO appreciate the photos of Capt Andrew Derby Bean and the trunk, as he is our ancestor but we are the direct line descendants of his brother, James M Bean. Thank you for your time and attention to this, our family!

RE: Hi,Jeryl
I've added the Bridges photo as you suggested and also added a few more to the Bridges family plot. Thanks for the push to post a few more photos. I "did" a lot of the cemetery this fall but haven't gotten around to formatting all the photos and posting them. Any other Castine Cemetery "residents" that you are particularly interested in? I'll try and get to those first.

Crawfor Tomb Castine
I see that you wrote a paragraph on the the picture of the Tomb for Mary Crawford in Castine Maine Cemetery. I really didn't think anyone would Notice. I live in California and Oklahoma but have never visited the Crawford Tomb.I had it opened by the cemetery keepers in 1998 as I was looking for the remains of Dr. William Crawford 1730-1776. He died at Fort Pownal and they probably planted him there in 1776. Thanks for putting the Red Roses on the Find A Grave where the tomb is located. I'm looking for the end off the red thread you so accurately described. Irving Davey

Craig's "convict kitties"

After such a dastardly day as this has been today, I needed that, Susan. I nearly fell outta my chair laughing so hard. Wadda hoot! Thanks for the belly laugh! Craig, I know, is howling, too.

Thanks for your visits to my memorials. It means so very much.

Btw, I absolutely love your F-A-G name. ❤

Love and huggles, Suse

Spic - Thank You So Very Much!

Dear Susan,

Forgive me for being late with this thank you. It's been hard to drop you a note, almost as hard as it was to write my little Spic's memorial. Thank you for visiting and leaving a token. Her loss nearly killed me so close behind Craig's. She was my life-line to him for that entire month she lived following losing him, knowing how much he loved her. He'd called her his "puppy cat" ever since she started that little barking sound.

I deeply appreciate you taking the time to read her story. Thank you so very much!

Thanks, too, for the many visits you make to my other memorials. It means so very much and brings me much, much comfort to see you've visited.

Wishing you the very best during 2013!

Much love and many huggles, Suse

A Grateful Acknowledgement
Dear Susan!

Truly, I thank you so very much for touchingly showing respect and interest in my parents' memorials by visiting them. They were good people in this life and their spirits deserve this and bless your kindness and friendship as I do!

Most people wish optimistically for a better future in the coming New Year but so often this is not to be. Whether fate is good or bad to us let us make the very best of the present and be grateful for our precious friends at Find A Grave.

Your token depicting a bottle of "Ashes Of Roses" gave me a large smile. About two months ago I did a search for this perfume on the Internet to satisfy my curiosity and found just one old used bottle still almost full on eBay. If my mother had been still living I should have bought it for her as a surprise. Smells have a powerful affect on the senses and she would have become instantly 18 again! You are most observant and thoughtful!

God bless you, dear Susan, and your family always!
