Hi Shirley,
I did go to the cemetery, however, the gates were closed and there were "No Trespassing" signs posted, so I could not get in. I did take a couple photos of the area and will post those to Alancy's page and will add a caption to the photos.

I checked both memorials, and mine was a duplicate, so I deleted it.
Here is the memorial number that is good #109634415.

We don't merge memorials. Management will if necessary. The person who put up the second or duplicate memorial page, which is based on the date at the bottom, should delete the page.

The person who created this one, states in their bio that they will transfer to a family member. Since he was your uncle, and only married to my cousin, it is only fair that you should have management.Good luck.

Shirley, Thank YOU so much for your wonderful note. You made my day! I'm so happy that my photos helped your family. You can see how beautiful the setting is up there in tiny little section 15-probably the most picturesque of the whole cemetery with that lovely view. It's so very peaceful in that cemetery. Our veterans deserve the best and you're very welcome.

Madge & George Powell
I got them! And yes they are in Prospect! Somehow when I uploaded the photos to my computer, I put them in the wrong folder...A whole addition of the cemetery! Feeling pretty sheepish...

It's a lovely day after three days of dreariness, so I think I shall swing out to Hope this afternoon. I'll let you know what I find! :)

Madge Powell
If I get over to Hope sometime soon, I will take a look!

Madge Powell
Do you know who Madge was married to? Could it be possible that she was buried out at Hope Cemetery? There are quite a few Powells interred there.

I have not had time most of the summer to do my usual research for those graves descendants are looking for. I will return from a short trip on the 20th of Sept. and I will try to get to Quincy Cemetery asap. We had such a rainy summer here in Logan County - more than most. Our Lake was 2 ft over the edge nearly all summer. Judy O.

Remaining Photos
We only have 2 to go, unless you come up with more!

I have not come across Madge Powell's marker yet, but I will. This might be it for the week, I get married on Saturday, so I suppose I have to concentrate on those plans!

Also, since my fiance lives by Gann Valley, I will swing into Hope on the way by and get you a pic of the Hooper twins' marker, if it is marked. (I think it is, I think I remember seeing it this past Memorial Day Service. Our Legion forms up it's firing squad close by that location.)

I'm glad to be a help. Doing a bit of kindness is good for the soul. :)

RE: Homewood
I have George & Jesse's monuments, and I believe the son, Lloyd, as it certainly seems to be a child's stone. Do you want me to upload the photos first? Actually, it would probably be easiest if you uploaded their info, then I add the photo. That way, you can edit them however you want.

Let me know what you want to do! I'm trying to get all of Prospect Hill on here. (yeesh! What did I start?!) I will gladly transfer any graves I have to add on my own to family.

BTW....The graves are laid out like this:

Shirley Walker Lloyd George & Jesse

Just thought you might like to know that they're all very close.

I am wondering if you are related to the Homewood family? I am curious, because there is one Homewood marker that is a bit sunken, and I'm having trouble identifying the dates (George and Lessie)...and another (it is sandstone, and quite old) that I cannot read the inscription...If so, do you have any information on them?

Your uncle George Damrad
Hi again,

I have also transferred your Uncle George's memorial to you---finally. I had added what info I had handy and meant to transfer it to you but hadn't got that far yet. Sorry. When I have more info, I will pass it on to you.

Hello Shirley,

Glad you sent an email.
I have deleted my memorial of your aunt Lois.
The photos you have added to your memorials are stunning. What loving tributes you have created.

RE: 81415928 Clemet F. Hooper
13 Feb 1981 is what is on his stone. SSDI lists no date, only Feb 1981. His wife's obit only lists the year he passed, 1981. US Dept of Veteran Affairs BIRLS Death files does list it as 3 Feb 1981. I was unable to find anything else, so I went with the date on the stone.

Transfer of your grandparents is complete.

I was wondering if you had any info on the ancestry of Robert Damrad. His mother's maiden name was STIER.

Thank you as well fellow volunteer.
