everything
Many thanks for your kind (and your funny) words. I do like to add genealogical info to memorials. I didn't use to and hated cluttered memorials but then realized I was fortunate enough to afford Ancestry when others couldn't. So I clutter mine now with whatever I can find to help researchers! I would love to go cemetery hunting. I am pretty free except for volunteering to work at public library book sale first 2 weeks of Oct. I can work around those dates too- or you could come move loads of books too! Anxious to here which cemeteries you want to do.

Terry, you have posted several memorials to this cemetery in Wayne County. If you have been there personally, can you give directions on how to find it? Thanks, Judi Wilson

Terry,

You are certainly welcome. :) Misinformation is one of my pet peeves... in case you didn't know! LOL I try my best to document everything I can! Just visited West Virginia for the first time ... and spent 11 wonderful days with cousins and a Thomas family reunion. Had an opportunity to visit Farley Hill cemetery ... so quaint and so out of the way! My cousin and I photographed the entire cemetery ... even graves marked with stones and flowers but no other information. I have added almost all of the information on the Farley Hill cemetery site ... still have the unknowns to post, in hopes that some loving relative will come along and identify/claim. I have never added unknown graves... have you? How do you go about adding them to the website?
Thanks for your kind comments ... and enjoy your weekend! It's HOT here in California!
Jana

RE: Ruby Elva Thomas -birthplace
Terry,
The information came from my great grandmother - her mother- who stated that she was born at Backus, where they lived when she was born. Since my great grandmother is no longer living, and this is my family, I am trying to correct the misinformation that is out on the internet.

Thanks,
Jana

Hello Mr. Collins, I'm Robert Patterson and am tracing family roots . Would like a transfer if at all possible. She is the mother of my G,G,Grangfather's first wife. I used to live in her old house in Beckley W.V.,I have some family links I can add and I'm currently researching more info on her and her husbands family so have more personal info coming soon . I'm trying to get the family under one roof so to say, something my Grandmother ( she lived in the old Prince house most of her life )always wanted to do, Both Alethia's daughters married into my family ,by marrying into the McCreery family. Thank for creating the memorial in the first place and if your related, can I ad info ? Would prefer transfer however. Thank you for your time . Robert C. Patterson .

Curnette Cemetery
Hello,
First I would like to thank you for all you do. I have discovered a Great Aunt who died at 10 days old in 1937. Her name was Maria Valma Diamond. She was born March 15, 1937 and died March 25, 1937. Her parents were Burley Diamond buried in the Cox Cemetery Wayne County, WV. Her mother was Docia Berry Diamond. She is buried in Springfield, Ohio. I am just letting you know ; one of your unknown graves in the Curnette Cemetery is most likely her. Her death Certificate states she was buried March 26, 1937 in Curnette Cemetery Wayne County, WV. Thanks again

RE: Prince data
Terry, you're welcome for the photos of the Prince family crypt and the ones I was able to get through the doors/window. They were very difficult to get, but I was happy that you could read the names once I got them on my computer and edited them a bit.

As for the other info as to who else is entombed in the crypt, do you have an e-mail address I could send it to? I actually created a graphic showing the names, dates and where they are located inside the crypt. Unfortunately, I'm not able to post the image to your Find A Grave page or insert it in this message. I also have a couple other photos I took of the inside of the crypt that were not posted on the memorials you requested photos for, if you'd be interested in those too.

Prince
Terry, I fulfilled your photo requests for William Prince Jr., Letitia Smith Prince and Isaac C. Prince, who are all laid to rest at Wildwood Cemetery in Beckley, WV. They are interred in the Prince family crypt, which is locked. I was able to look through the windows to see the names of who is laid to rest inside the crypt, but it made taking photographs rather difficult, as there is wrought iron on both of the windows on the doors and the stained glass window on the other end of the crypt. I did my best without being able to get into the locked crypt. I also have names and dates of the other people laid to rest inside the crypt, if you want that information. (Several are not even listed on Find A Grave at Wildwood yet. I will be creating memorials for them in the next few days, as I have time.)

Memorial#116131129
Terry, I have been researching Ancestry.com for information on my relatives and thanks to your posting, I was able to view the headstone for my great grandfmother and great grandfather (Sarah Nancy Catherine May Richardson and B P Richardson). If no other relative has requested, I would like permission to post this to my Ancestry.com profiles for them. Also I will be traveling near Crow, WV on July 3 and would like to visit the gravesite. Any information you can provide to assist me in finding their gravesite would be appreciated. Again, thank you so much.

RE: Helen I. Kiefer
Hi Terry, I ask because I wondered if you were a relative. I try to avoid making duplications. When I created aunt Helen's memorial record, I was told she was buried in a different cemetery, also using her married name to her first husband, therefore there was no record as far as I was concerned. I was getting ready to ask someone to take a picture of her headstone, and did another search and I found your memorial-with her second husband's last name, and where she really is buried. At this time I changed the burial place to be more accurate and contacted you.

I thank you for your time and efforts that help those of us not close by to find records and bring families and information together. Also, thank you for the transfer. I do appreciate that kindness. I will clear up the duplication.
