I will look it up and take a look, just got home, as of now, don't have a clue, as for a reason, no reason, I must have only seen one. If I see duplicates, I will always put the photo on the earliest entered one.

Re: Lula Belle Mize Adams
Memorial # 107444383

Thanks so much for posting this! I have one small correction: Lula Belle was the daughter of John Madison Mize and Eliza Ann Taylor. Mr. Griffin was her step-father. [He went out to the garden to fetch an onion for lunch one day and was never seen again... A story from my great-aunt who was Lula Belle's daughter.]

Have a great New Year!

Yeah your right she should of not created a duplicate but what does that have to do with my edit I sent you? What was the edit? To link his wife Clara to him?

While checking my Fowlkes links I found your memorial for Henry Lee Fowlkes. I don't know if this is your relative as well; he's my 2d cousin, twice removed. For what it's worth, the 1920 census, Danville, lists his son as Henry L. Fowlkes, Jr.; then, the 1930 census, South Hill, lists this same son as H. Lawrence Fowlkes. The presumption is that his dad's name is Henry Lawrence Fowlkes, Sr., whereas you have his middle name listed as Lee. Adding to this is that the elder Henry's mother is Sarah Alice Lawrence; this is almost certain evidence that his name is Henry Lawrence Fowlkes vice Henry Lee. Still, I do see the marriage record transcription for Henry Lee Fowlkes to Rosa James Glass, in 1909, Halifax County. The year is right for their first child, and Halifax is right in the midst of the census data. Confusing is that there are two transcriptions for the marriage of Sarah Alice Lawrence to a Fowlkes, both on the same date, whereas one is named Lee D. and the other is named W.D., plus both list Sarah parents as M.C. and C.A. Lawrence (obviously the same record, just one of the name transcriptions for the husband is wrong. I used W.D. because the 1900 census original image is crystal clear, and the correct children are listed, plus the 1880 census names him was W.D., and the 1910 census names him as William D. (all same children and spouse). Again, for what it's worth; I'll continue naming him as Henry Lawrence Fowlkes, Sr. You may not have this level of interest in that family, but if you do, then I can send you my family file with sources. Regards, James Hankins

When I called Highland Memory Gardens
(540-674-5231) they didn't want to tell me where they were buried - something to do with privacy- I asked if this is not open to the public - anyway they told me Mary & Stewart Mounts are buried in 4 Gospels Garden section. I did make a memorial for Stewart last night.

Thanks again

Grave Photos
I am searching for grave photos of my aunt & 2 uncles buried in Highland Memory Gardens in Pulski County, VA.

They are: Seldon Hubbard #37515414 Masonic Garden
Mary Mounts #37597571 4 Gospels Garden
Mary's husband Stewart Mounts - no memorial # for him, I believe he is buried beside Mary; he passed before her in 1988.

Would you able to get photos of their markers?

Please advise & thank you
Faye Francis

Hopkins, Bethric
This is my great grandmother, I just came back from visiting one of her sons in AK who turned 90 Aug 13th. There are still several of her children alive. Thus her grandchildren, one my father in whom I am researching the family and found the note here. Please contact me. I would love to find out more as I started my research about a year ago working on and off on it.

I looked at all the stones today, well it was hot and obviously I missed some! There is a request for Mary E. Winn, b. 1840 and I could only find it spelled Wynn; and I found one for Thomas Andrew Crutchfield, b. 1831, but the picture for his find a grave entry shows a hand made stone with just the initials, which I couldn't find. I was hoping to get someone who could narrow the area of the cemetery down a little.

Hi Connie,

No problem; I was so into finding the one who had lived the longest that I didn't find the one who had lived the second longest! Do you by any chance have the contact info for the town of South Hill? I have two graves that I was unable to find, but probably just overlooked. It was a little too hot to walk around today :-)
