Wanted to thank you for adding the memorials for John Jackson Lewis and Castle Dana Lewis. A second cousin of mine stumbled onto the site and connected with me. Not only did she have pictures of John and Castle with their children, but also a picture of Johns parents. If not for you this connection may have never been made. I consider it a miracle, first that you put the memorial on line, second that I found it and third that one of the few other descendants of this line was interested enough to find it too. You have know idea what it means to me. Bless your heart.

RE: Memorial# 95891376
Sorry, but I don't think I replied when I originally got your message. You can change the name on the memorial to Francis Marion if you wish. It does get confusing because the name was repeated quite often within the family. There is, however, a city directory listing for him at Ancestry which shows his full name as Francis Marion Gardner and also shows his wife as "Lucettie B."

Thank you so much for the memorials for them 142026766 & 142026757.
A family member had photos of their headstone and a photo of them. They told me I could post them. I also found all their children and sent edits to link them. Soon they will be complete.
Thanks for the updates you made also today.
And for all the work I see you have done on FindAGrave.

I haven't look at Find-a-Grave for several years--I am just getting back into family history after my husband's death and moving near my daughters.
The Bettie Jane Brasfield 1925-1925 listed as daughter of Blanche Dudley Brasfield Kaler was a twin that died at birth, her sister Mary Clyde Brasfield is still living. I'm not sure I know how to edit this.
Thanks for your help and interest. Betty Weaver

Typo on year of death. Papaw Gadd died 1977, typed year says 1997.
Thanks for entering his place. I was 12 when he passed, and don't remember details.

Michael, I am not sure my email message sent, so am posting here. My correction sent first for the Cochran memorial, earlier tonight, was not requesting a transfer, but was to let you know it needed deleting, as she is not deceased. You transferred it to me, and I cannot delete it, as I didn't create it. Could you please delete # 132492038, since she is not deceased?
Thanks so much,

Mike Since they both were born, married, and died in Martin you would think they would be buried in Martin. I can't find any records showing where buried. Thanks Mike if you have a minute to see if you might be able to turn up anything.Thanks Mik God bless you.

Thanks a bunch, I appreciate your contributions to F/A/G. I am going back and trying to fill in links and add complete names when I can. There are numerous females whose memorials do not have their maiden names and thus they are not linked to their family/parents.

Thank you and it looks good to me. I don't think anyone has been able to locate Sarah or Malinda. Sarah is in 1870 census Davidson CO, but died before 1880.
Malinda and W.A. lived in Craighead Arkansas in 1900 and is more than likely buried there. W.A. was a widow and back in Weakley CO in 1910. Malinda had at least 10 children with Joseph Castleman.
If you want to add his first name is William

|Sherri Hammond||RE: F.M. Gardner|
Yes, I believe it is OK to change the name to Francis Marion, but if you prefer to be more cautious you can change it back to F.M. and then enter an explanatory note in the text area. On 1850 census he is shown as Marion, but on 1880 he is shown as Francis M. Gardner.
As I noted to Bonnie, the habit of naming children in honor of relatives from an earlier generation can get confusing, especially when those named are of similar age even if technically in different generations.
I believe the name probably goes even further back in the Gardner family--I did a search on this site for "Francis Marion Gardner" and got a total of 9 memorials (not including the F.M. Gardner in Texas, who was a first cousin once removed from the one in Tennessee).

Thank you for the transfer of Francis and Mary's memorials. I don't know why I had them in the wrong cemetery for years. It must have been a senior moment!

|buck ivey||Ivie Cemetery|
Michael, Thank you for posting this cemetery. I am from Ivey family in Virginia. Many of my Ivey relatives moved to Tennessee and changed last name to Ivie and Ivy. Hoping you have more information on this family. The patriarch I believe was Benjamin W. Ivie married first to Eliza Ivie ( his first cousin) and next to Mary C. House . His daughter Susan Ivey Dority , Lewis A Ivie and wife Martha Montgomery are all posted in this cemetery. I was wondering if you found any unmarked or hard to read stones that may have been Benjamin W. Ivie. He died in 1882 . Also both of his wives may be buried there. I see Lula Bettie Ivie Williams is in this cemetery. Many more of Lewis's family are buried there. I see you have posted other Ivie graves in the area. Are you related. Benjamin Ivie/Ivey was my gggg grandfathers (Anselom Ivey) nephew. David Ivey of Brunswick County, Va ,father of Eliza Ivie was living in Williamson County, Tenn. and died in 1848. Thanks for any information you can provide.
