RE: Thanks
I only was able to get inside of the Mausoleum because of vandalism. Someone had cut the centers out of the large Bronze Doors about a week or two ago. I am on the Records Committee trying to organize all records and also photograph all headstones within that cemetery. Huge task....
I did photograph all Interments in the Mausoleum as The Records Committee didn't have a set of those interred in one location. This is a project in itself.
Happy to have been able to help you.

Bunker memorials
Hi, T.F. - You took a tombstone picture of the memorial of Mary Dahlgren and maybe some others by that name as well.

Her maiden name was Bunker. Her parents are buried in the same lot as the famous Dahlgren people. I don't know if there are any tombstones for the Bunker people or not, but they are buried there. I have added them all to Find A Grave, including an Elizabeth F (?) Bunker, who I think is really Elizabeth Thorn (Clement) Bunker, the wife of Nathan Bunker.

Do you suppose you could take some tombstone pictures for the Nathan group for me.

I attended DAR yesterday and met a lady who is researching Bunker people. I came home and immediately found the Bunker people at Laurel Hill Cemetery for her. I am hoping she joins Find A Grave, but, in the meantime, I want to do a really good job of noting those burials.

Would you like to help?

RE: Daniel West d 1816
Hi Tom - I can barely make out some of the words on that consort headstone but it looks like it says something like Eunice xxx former consort of xxx and consort of Daniel West... Do you think you could transcribe as much as possible and but that with the photo? I will research Daniel and see if I can find such a wife. I had his wife as Elizabeth Tracy West memorial #10943444 (I have sent in corrections to tie her to her Tracy family). Thanks for any help you can give, Janice

Daniel West d 1816
I think you have posted the wrong headstone photo to this memorial #47662457. The headstone mentions "consort of Daniel West died 1834" but the memorial is for Daniel West himself who died in 1816.

Thank you so much for the photos of the Edgar, Martha, Mary and Harry Wiestling at Woodlands Cemetery. The photo of Edgar and Martha show obvious problems with their gravesites. Since the headstones for Mary and Harry were pictured upright I am curious if you know who the graves belong to on either side of Edgar and Martha. Do you have any further information on this family and/or the condition of the plot. Thank you...Wendy

TF, I just created a Memorial for Elizabeth Wilson McArthur #98703034. Would you please add the photo you took of her grave to her Memorial page. Until I saw the gravestone I did not know John McArthur's wife's maiden name only that she was Elizabeth. Thank you so much for the photos. PMcA

Lyon Burial Ground Cleanup
Posted 2 pictures of our hard work in progress. All the brush is cut and hauled away. Part of the stone wall is reset and we made an opening on the Elk Mountain side for a gate. Will work on the rest of wall in the future. Would like to meet with you at cemetery to see what else you would like done. Some stones are laying down and don't know where to put them and there are many field stones as markers also. Seems like our count is 30 to 35 people buried there. Hope you like the progress we made.
