I hope you don't mind that I added a couple more photos of Sandra's grave. It's so beautiful I had to photograph it. I love the stained glass mosaic. She must have been very loved.

I could only link Marcella to Bennett Robens. Joel D will have to be contacted for linkage to children. Are you related? We have no info on children of Adeline and WW Walters. I am researching the McFarland line and would share any info you would like on this.

RE: happened again
I will look into it through my own family tree and through the Sherman Directories after I finish my current project. You know how it goes when you stop and then have to regroup when you return. If I don't get to it today I will work on it in the morning before I go to work. Again, I am a stickler for things being right. Thanks for the heads up, I hope you can get your on going frustration taken care of.

RE: Achsah Sherman Jenks link request cont
I just sent you a note through the memorial and gave you my email and a suggestion on how to fix the problem. I hope it can be corrected. I know the Sherman's of Yaxley newsletter well.

RE: Williams Missouri
If you come across a Charles Frank Williams (or Frank Charles Williams) who married Harriet Butner, that would be the one I'm working on. He stated on the 1860 Pettis Township, Platte Co. census states he was born in North Carolina. He died before the 1870 census was taken as Harriet and two children are living with her parents. The third child, Thomas Henry (my gr grandfather), is living in Kansas with a Butner uncle. Harriet married James Elliott and later moved to Washington state.

1890 Veterans Schedule, Tampico, Yakima County, Washington, Harriet E Elliott widow of Frank Williams, Private, Company E, 5th Kansas Cavalry, killed at Little Rock, Arkansas.
Private Williams, Franklin, Enlistment Date 27 Jan 1862, Muster 29 Jan 1862, transferred to Co. K 4 Nov 1864. Co. K says mustered out 27 Jan 1865.

RE: picture of Israel Hodges and family
Cool - are you related on the Hodges or the Rathbun side? Can you email me the complete picture. Looking at Permelia, there is a bit of a resemblance to her daughter Sarah (Alwood), my great-great-grandmother.
My email is toocats @ att . net

Is a copy of the entire picture that is shown on Israel and Permelia Hodges memorial available somewhere? They were my 3rd great-grandparents.

RE: Dorcas Joice Clark
Hi Deb.. I'm glad that I was able to help.. and I was also going to ask my friend that sends me the cemetery listings if she could check her records for Heritage to see if there is any sort of information within Dorcas's blurb regarding the husband.. alot of the records will contain info on spouses especially if they are buried elsewhere.. I'll get back to you if I learn anything new about 'Archy's' whereabouts..

I noticed that you added a picture to this memorial for James Vannice. He is the 2nd great-grand-uncle of my stepsons. I would love to see any other pics you may have and, with your permission, I would like to add it/them to their tree. May I ask how you are related? Thank you for creating this memorial.

Decendants of Emma Vannice Sumner
I believe I've connected some family of yours. Was just doing some research on a memorial here in Cypress CA for Jacqueline Ardna Russell 105108763, daughter of John Eldon Sumner 94551651 & Ardna Verle (knox) Sumner. I believe that Jacqueline is the great granddaughter of Jacob B Vannice. Since there is no memorial for Emma Vannice Sumner yet, I thought I'd pass along the info to an interested party. Here's the trail:
John Eldon Sumner 94551651, son of Emma M (Vannice) Sumner (no memorial yet found), daughter of Jacob B. Vannice 60553570.
1930 Census in White City, Morris, Kansas shows Emma M Sumner, widow, age 56, with her children (born Kansas except Helen).
Alva G (son) age 21, Alta G Jennie (d) age 21 (married at age 21), John E age 18, and Helen V age 16 (b Colorado).
1925 Kansas State Census in Liberty, Montgomery, Kansas has Emma M Sumner, 52, Estel V, 20, Alta G 15, Alva G 15, John E 13, Helen V 11, and Alice Vannice, 56.
1920 US Census in Rolling Prairie, Morris, Kansas
Emma M Sumner, age 47, laundress at home, Eshel (f) age 15, Alta G 11, Alva G 11, John 8, Helen 5, and Alice Van Nice (sister) 52, single.
1915 Kansas Census in White City, Morris, Kansas, rented house of Alice Vannice, age 48, Emma Sumner 44, Estel 11, Alta 6, Alva 6, John 4, Helen 1.
1905 Kansas Census in Sherman, Decatur, Kansas, E L Sumner, 38, Emma, 32, Estel 10 mo, Ollie Sumner, 15, E V Vanpelt 33. Don't know if this is correct family.
1880 US Census Pleasant, Switzerland, Indiana, Jacob B. Vannice, age 42, wife Issabel Vannice, age 35, children: William F, 15, James F, 14, Alice, 12, Ettie, 10, Emma, 8, Dora 6, Florence 5.
Also found Calif Death index for Alva G. Sumner, b. 24 Sep 1909 Kansas, d. 1 Oct 1996 in Rosemead, CA & SSDI Alva Gerald Sumner, b 24 Sep 1909 Colorado, d. 1 Oct 1996, Los Angeles County, CA, Mother's maiden name Vanness.

You are most welcome. Many of my relatives are buried in that cemetery, so I tried to take photos of all the stones I could. If there are any more there that are your relatives, please let me know and I'll gladly transfer to you.
