If you will transfer the memorials to me I would appreciate it greatly. Does your old friend have any living descendants? They would technically be my cousins.

Harry Craft memorial
Hello: I just noticed that I made a duplicate memorial for Harry Craft in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, NJ. I will see about merging the two. Sorry. Chris Smith

I noticed you manage the memorial for Louis James Gallo and for his wife, Elizabeth. Are you related? I am related to Louis, if he is the son of Gennaro and Anna Avenia Gallo as you stated.

RE: George E. Hewitt, Oakwoods Cem.
Dave,

I just read the bio you added to George's memorial. Wow. That explains the couple's matching date of death and choice of different cemeteries. What a story!

PS; I transferred Anna to you. I know you'll take good care of her.

Mary & Hiram Brown
Hi--I was in Union Cemetery in Altamont, IL, today and found the Browns. The monuments are just like the ones pictured on Find A Grave. I took pictures anyway, including one that shows the small stones in front of the larger one. Do you want it posted? (It's pretty ugly--all the grass is dead.) I won't do anything until I hear from you. I didn't do much to clear up your mystery!

Dave,

You are very welcome. It was a pleasure. The tree is very large and beautiful and distinctive. My daughter and I enjoy helping people to connect with their history.

I am still working on the photos from Pleasant Grove Cemetery. When I stop there again I will check to see if there is family around them. It may be a few weeks before I can check this out.

G.W. Cochran
Hi Dave
I just started working as a volunteer for findagrave so imagine my delight when I could find that stone for you and your family! It was my pleasure to photograph it for you. My 10 year old son loves to help with this kind of work so he and I make a good team. We face a similar problem with my husband's GG-gfather. Few facts and we can't find his gravestone. He lived only an hour away from us so it isn't all that hard to romp around trying to track him down. But it is quite frustrating! We will continue to work at it. Let me know if there is any investigating you would like me to do in the area. We are close to the Armstrong Courthouse, Armstrong Historical Society, etc. I'd be glad to help in your research if I can.

G.W. Cochran
Hi
Lower Piney Cemetery is right down the road from me so I went down and set out looking for G.W. Cochran. The cemetery is in very poor shape. However, I was glad to find the marker but also sad that it was lying flat on the ground and was partially covered. I did my best to uncover what I could and took a picture. I will try to get back down there and brush it off better and get another pic for you. I couldn't find a marker for Esther though. Hope this helps.

I was very happy to help. I hope some one can help me if I am unable to get to the cemetery where my family is buried. So far most of my family is close enough for me to go to cemetery. If you need any more help, please let me know.

There is a headstone near Annie Hewitt at Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago that does not have Memorial page. If you would like to create Memorial pages and request a photo I'll attach the photos I have. -- TeCoa

Hi Dave. I am a distant relative of the Garrison's. I'm wondering if you would give me permission to use the headstone photos you've posted in my online family tree? I would happily give you credit for the images.

Thank you for your consideration, hope to hear back from you.

Best wishes.
Kellie Walton.

Dave! It's yours--I appreciate the help. It's almost time back here to begin visiting the cemeteries again with camera and notebook in hand. Does your family come from the Parker area? My closest family lines there were Marshall, Robinson, Hovey, Bailey and Turk.
