While we were prowling cemeteries in East Rochester, NH yesterday, I spotted this pair. 167844502 and 167844478.
Maybe they are yours?

RE: Staten Huntress
It's a country graveyard with a goodly amount of space between many of the headstones. The grave you are looking for is undoubtedly there. As true of many New England graveyards, there are a number of fieldstone markers, and, in the case of the younger Staten Huntress, newer stones incorporating data from much older headstones.

My apologies. I added a photo of the wrong Stoten Tuttle (1823-1889) to your photo request (1805-1879). (I've removed it.) My husband and I searched the cemetery twice and did not find another Stoten Tuttle.

I apologize,

FYI - Merge of Leonard and Lydia Huntress memorials
FYI - I have requested the burial unknowns to be merged into the known cemetery memorials.

It can take about two to four weeks depending on how many submissions are in the queue.

FYI - Burial unknown Huntress
The proper procedure is to request the Burial Unknown (even if older) to be merged into the memorial that was placed in the proper cemetery location.

RE: Leonard and Lydia Ann Huntress
I just clicked on Lydias memorial to check out sandpipertoo and do see that this person is "Record Not Available". This usually means that admins removed their privileges from F.A.G. for some reason or other. (probably too many Burial unknowns) In order to get the memorials fixed and add the cemetery you will have to write to edit@ and have them do it. Mention in the email that sandpiperto, the memorial manager, is RNA (or Record Not Available) and you would like the two 'burial unknown' memorials moved to the correct cemetery. You will have to include the complete links to both memorials and a link to the cemetery.

Also if you know Lydias death date you can still use the 'edit' tab and have that added. It will be done quickly since Find A Grave is doing the edits for sandpipertoo now. Once both memorials are moved to the cemetery and no longer BUs, resubmit the parents links on Josephs memorial and I will connect him. Denise.

Find A Grave Memorial# 43839472

Your edit:
Leonard Huntress
(1821 - 1885)
Lydia Ann McKinnon Huntress
(1825 - ____)

will be declined.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave must fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.

The memorials for the parents are burial unknown. Therefore, they do not meet the purpose of FindAGrave. FindAGrave is not a family tree linking site. There are other sites established for that purpose.

Mary Hamrick and Enoch Smith

I saw your message about using the photos of Enoch Smith and others. Feel free to use and share as you like, it's always nice for others to have a chance to see these photos of their family.

How are you related, and can you identify any of the other brothers in the Smith photo?

RE: Joseph Hunt Smith
Thank you for your compliment! I enjoy graving and especially feedback from people I've helped. The stones are in Friendship Cemetery, in Columbus, MS and not Starkville, though. They must have been very wealthy because it's a very large stone.

RE: Samuel and Anna Huntress gravestones
You're very welcome :) I was skeptical about being able to find the stone because the St John lot has some very old and worn out stones. I think this is the first one that I've actually been able to find and read...yea!

You seem to have walked the Jay Center Cemetery, any chance that you have come across headstones for Gregoire Ambrose Berard & Marie Louise (Bedard)Berard. They both past away in Jay and may be buried there. Thanks.

RE: Flora Scott Hiefner gravestone
No problem on our part. My wife and I documented the 'stones for the Flint Hills Genealogical Society a few years ago and the photo for Hiefner was among our file. It was easy to pull up and post.

Naomi Hodge at Forest Home Cemetery
Hi! There was not an individual grave marker for her, but I posted a photo of the lot where she is buried.

Also there:

Justin B. Hodge, Co. C, 8 Ind. Inf. (no dates)

If you add a photo request for him I will post the photos that I took.

RE: Eliza Ann (Tuttle) Perkins and family gravestone
Our pleasure, Paul. Not often we find three generations on the same stone. If you would like to manage the memorials I created so I could post each of the individuals, I would be happy to transfer them to you. All the best, Bill and April
