RE: Mount Vernon Cemetery
Mr. Shepard,

I'm sorry, it seems you haven't made any contributions to Mount Vernon Cemetery other than a photo of the actual cemetery it's self. So no harm done. I need to find out who started this particular part and let them know. So sorry for bugging you and wasting your time. It would seem I need to contact each individual who has made a contribution to Mount Vernon so that they can correct it themselves. Again sorry for wasting your time but thank you for responding back to me so quickly.

Mount Vernon Cemetery
Mr. Sheppard,

I would just like to let you know that the name of this particular cemetery is actually Curry Cemetery. Even though it sets across the road from Mount Vernon Church it is actually the town cemetery! If you would please change the name as it may confuse a lot of other people that are from our area. Also it will help others who are looking for family from a far.

Thank you
Heather Dobbins

RE: Roy Wiegand
My first response was going to be that I would be happy to post an explanatory note on the memorial on your behalf. However, after checking the memorial, I notice that I had duped the same memorial that had been posted a month earlier by someone else, which has much the same information (but a poorer photo). So I really have to take my memorial down - you should contact the owner of Roy Wiegand's other memorial. I wish I had seen the earlier memorial when I first posted. Sorry!

Hey Jim,

His parents are dead, Fred & Rose, and one brother, Fred Jr., and these interments were private, but one relative is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Marie C.

The Panozzo Brothers of Chicago Heights handled the burials. Phone # 1-708-481-9230. I called, and the line was busy.

Thank You,

Hey Guy,

This soldier's info can be found on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial page, and since he is from Dolton, Illinois. He might have graduated form Thornridge H.S. that school is in his area of the suburbs. I think the school no longer exists, but won two State Titles in Basketball. I have no photo.

Thank You,

Last winter I photographed the section of the cemetery where Charles Aaron was laid to rest. When I saw your request a few days ago, I went through my files and found my photo of his marker and posted it on your page. The resolution is better than the picture that was there before, but if you like I could go back to the cemetery and try to get a better picture for you. It might look nicer if the stone was brushed clean before being photographed. If I recall correctly, there was also a larger headstone which he shared with other members of his family. I didn't photograph it at the time because the inscriptions were covered by Christmas decorations.

I think what you're doing to honor your fallen comrades is so admirable. I'd be happy to assist you in any way. Let me know if you'd like me to rephotograph his marker and get one of the larger headstone for your page. I'd also like to thank you for your service to our country.
