RE: Mary Lydia Bacon Wicks
Hi Wendy,

I found 2 newspaper articles about Sanford Wicks illness and death, Orangeburg, SC.

I had noticed in my research that quite a few family trees that actually included her as Sanford's 1st wife had her maiden name as Bacon (as per the edit that I received). Most trees only included the 2nd wife. I don't normally bother with looking at family trees created by other people since most just copy others, but I was curious as to the consensus.

I couldn't find a marriage lisence for Sanford and Mary, that's why I included the excerpt from the obit. I do have copies. I only found her for 1880 and 1910 that I could be certain was the right Mary Wicks based on the names mentioned in the obituary. Any information you have would be great. I posted the section of the obit that mentions her and her children. I'm curious as to what you were able to find. Please share :)

I meant to say Sanford Wick's mother-in-law was Lydia Blodget, not his mother.

I should have mentioned, too, that my records show Sanford Wicks' (1846-1929) mother was Lydia Blodget.

RE: Sanford Wicks
Hi Wendy,

I, too, see some folks have give Sanford Wick's first wife's name as Mary Blodgett.

My records show that Sanford married Mary Lydia Bacon in Baraboo, Sauk, Wisconsin on November 4, 1868. They divorced and he married his second wife Fannie in 1897.

Sanford's daughter, Edith Rose Wicks, married George Edward Baddgor. His mother was Mary Jane Blodgett, born 1847 in New York. Her second husband was John Newell.

That's the only explanation I have for how the name Blodgett got in there. She was not Sanford's first wife, she was his son-in-law's mother.

Thanks for all you're doing on Find A Grave.

127258192 Albert E. Smith
I photographed a headstone for an Albert E. Smith in Woodlawn Cemetery, section 20. The date of birth is 1864 and death is 1940. The birth year varies from your record. Could this be the same person? He is buried next to Bessie Smith who appears to be his wife.

You're welcome! I had literally walked 90% of the cemetery wondering why I couldn't find it when - viola! (I like walking there. Lots of people do.)

RE: Welcome H Swift

Happy to help, Wendy. FYI I also posted a better picture for George Lick. It's been overcast for weeks, and lately we've had some great light. Thanks!

Pierre & Eunice Sartoris
Dear Wendy,

I believe Pierre to be my grandfather and Eunice to be my aunt, neither of whom I ever met--why, I simply don't know.

Since you're listed as having posted 9/16/12 both names as buried in Citra Cemetery, Marion County, FL, memorial nos. 97180791 & 97180709, respectively, can you give me any more info-- especially about the location of the graves and who if anyone maintains the cemetery? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thank you,

Bill Sartoris

Hi Windy,

I want to thank you for the addition to Carroll and Minnie's memorial. Carroll was my grandfather Harry R. Fallis's brother and they lived in Sylvania, Ohio.

While adding photos to Find A Grave I came across two entries for Earl J Webb. It appears you entered yours first but the other memorial has a photo. I did not create the other but wanted you to know it exists.

Jan Gay Parker & Eddie Maxwell Parker
Hi Wendy,

I wanted to let you know that both of these memorials in the Eureka cemetery were at some time moved to Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka, Putnam County Florida, USA (see below). As such, they can be deleted from the Eureka Cemetery, as no memorials exists there for either Jan or Eddie. Many thanks, -Hal

Tammy L. Armstrong
Hi Wendy,

quick question regarding Tammy L. Armstrong --

I am in Eureka, Fl and have carefully surveyed every grave and marker here. I find nothing for Tammy. I wanted to add a picture for you, if I could find something! But, there is nothing. Are you certain she is buried here? Thanks, -Hal

RE: Johannis Paepcke #144869283
Transferred management of 144869283 to your account per your request. Thank you for your edits on his memorial page, I trust Johannis will be in good hands with your good research work. I just didn't have the time to commit to the research work needed on the Paepcke family. Welcome to Find-a-Grave! Regards, sjmohr

Johannis Paepcke #144869283
Can I transfer management of Johannis Paepcke's memorial to you so you can make the multiple edits you have requested? I do not have the time to research the accuracy of all the changes you have requested. I only take photographs, and do not do genealogy research on people I am not related to. Regards, sjmohr

That's a given. At issue is whether she is one and the same as the wife of William Cushman.

RE: William Cushman md Sarah Holloway
Thomas Holloway died intestate and insolvent at Pembroke in 1739 and the widow Rebecca (Tubbs) Holloway died intestate at Pembroke in 1746. Rebecca was the dau. of Joseph Tubbs, who died testate at Pembroke in 1740, with Rebecca named therein as his daughter Rebecca Holloway, but no mention is made of any child of Rebecca.

No child is mentioned in either parental Holloway probate record. No Plymouth County Probate Court files regarding guardianship have been filmed by the LDS, if such are separate records. No Plymouth County deed can be found that includes a Sarah Holloway before or after marriage linking her to her possible parents.

Thanks Wendy. I'll dig further. Both the Shurtliff (g.v.) and Cushman genealogies have otherwise failed to identify Sarah's parents.
