RE: Hill

I have removed one of the pictures of Abel Stanhope Hill. You should now be able to put on the family photo. If not I will remove another.

If you would like me to I will be glad to transfer him to you so you can add any information you might have. Just send me your number and I will make the transfer.

No trouble, at all. It gave us a chance to explore a new cemetery (that we've driven by many times) while getting a bit of exercise. The staff person was very gracious, too. Said he's a findagrave volunteer, himself. Have a great 2014!

We spoke to one of the staff members of Rolling Hills Memory Gardens today when we visited the cemetery. (Sorry it took longer to try to fulfill the request -- holidays and rain.)He showed us his record book with plots diagrams and gave us the grave location. Told us that he did not believe the grave was marked. We indeed did not find a marker for Harless Colbaugh. Took a pic of the area where the body is buried, near someone named Rash. Will send that pic to your email address.

RE: McLain
The name you requested is spelled different than the name on the stone. We have her grave listed by the spelling that is on the stone. How can we blend your entry and ours so that she is not double entered? And, you are more than welcome. I love that cemetery.

RE: Brown
Hi Pat, William Oscar Brown was my grandfather's(Raymond Brown) Father. My grandfather raised me since I was 6 weeks old so I am always pleased to hear from anyone who is interested in him and his family as he was a was a wonderful man and my world, He unfortunately passed away in June of 2011. I do not have a lot of information I can supply about my great grandfather William but my grandmother (Catherine Brown) may have a lot more to help you. One of his children are still living in TN. And she is able to contact them if you have any questions. Hope this helps you. You can email her at

RE: Smith
Pat, Lucinda was the sister of my gt.grandmother, Sarah Jane Swafford Clark. Give me an idea of what you already know about Lucinda, and I'll see if I can fill in anything else. I have the names of her parents, her husband, and two sons. I don't have the name of your Mary, so maybe we can swap some info. Please email me at
