RE: Sarah 'Sally' Gilstrap Davis
Did you happen to notice the cemetery photo taken yesterday and is now approved and will appear on all the memorials there. I ask because it is such a beautiful place, sitting in acres of protected trees and is the only spot that the sun hits.

Casper Hoffman
Dear Tombstone Trekker,
Casper Hoffman was my 5X great-grandfather. However, this branch of my family tree has been very difficult to follow as several trees on Ancestry have conflicting information. Today I decided to check out Find-a-Grave to see what I could find and it looks like I may have found a goldmine of information on the Hoffman family with some actual documentation. I would like to ask permission to use information you have presented on Find-a-Grave in my family tree and I would love to have any other information that you would be willing to furnish. Feel free to contact me via e-mail. I would love to know more about this branch of the family. Thank you. Sincerely, Lin

RE: Anna
All I can tell you about Anna's name is that my grandmother had it written down as Wilcoxen on a sheet of paper. Asa Sr. is from my grandmother's, mother's side of the family. Thanks for your help.

I was wondering if you are related to either Asa P. Sr. or his wife Anna Wilcoxson.

I see that you've posted information about their marriage. Do you have a source for their marriage? Also, so you happen to know where her husband Asa P. Sr. is buried?

Thanks.

Zerelda (3x great-granddaughter of Asa P. Sr. & Anna Wilcoxson)

Gilstrap
Trekie,
I am doing research on the Gilstrap family: Kentucky, Indiana & Missouri, I ran across your post on Sally Gilstrap Find A Grave post # 50253673. What is your Gilstrap connection? I am interested in exchanging information on Gilstraps.
I also noticed your Woolverton postings have you checked the Cemetery on Woolverton Mountain Arkansas? I was there about 25 years ago.
Thanks for your help

You are very welcome. I am in the process of trying to photograph all of the stones in Greenwood cemetery. I will keep my eye out for Margaret West and let you know if I add a photo. I have also transferred ownership of Sarah and John Mahood to you.

Jacob Hufman
Hi Betty, Thank you for contacting me about the Jacob Hoffman matter. I have the book Hoffmans of North Carolina and I confirm your analysis and will make corrections. I use a service called "One Great Family" that computer matches families and automatically merges individuals and sometimes destroys the data in the process. I was unaware that I had used corrupted data when I transferred it to Find A Grave.
My line goes through John George so I don't often visit Jacob.
Thanks again, Jimmy Huffman

OK. Well, since you collected the information on Anna Belle, would you like to create a memorial for her?

I'm sorry, but all I have on him is from the Social Security Death Index and the Ohio death index. Since you are going to keep researching on him (the 1940 census will be coming out soon), I would be more than happy to transfer management of the memorial to you, if you want it.

When I put a picture on findagrave, I consider it public domain. It's yours to do with whatever you wish. Please don't give me credit for having taken the picture. I'm not in this for a public pat on the back;) Betty

I visited Riverside Cemetery this afternoon and added Elmer's headstone picture to his page for you. There was no Jennie anywhere near. Sorry. There were two markers exactly like Elmer's. Their names were Effie Baker and Frances Baker.

Please use any photo you like. I am no longer living in Missouri so will be unable to visit Bethel Cemetery again. I photographed all but 6-8 markers before my camera battery ran out. Sigh.

Betty:

I'm happy to transfer Thomas Davis to you. I was just taking pix at this small cemetery and posted them (random act of genealogical kindness). I was looking for my ggg grandfather but didn't find him.

Good luck in your research.
