Jacob Andrew Yount
Does anyone know why Jacob A Yount was buried in the Dalton Cemetery? Is he related to he Dalton's? Are these Dalton's related to the famous Dalton's of Kansas?

RE: Jacob A Yount
David Yount was the son of Jacob A Yount, and a brother to Sophia Yount Gross according to my records.

I did find Jacob A Yount's headstone in the Dalton Cememtay but the cemetery does not list his wife.

RE: Jacob A Yount
Thank you, I believe the Jacob A Yount, born 1752 NC, is the same one I am looking for, my records show his wife as Marillis Killian, but that may be inncorct, if you have an actual marker with a name and date for his wife I would think that would be the correct name.

His daughter Sophia Yount Gross is my husbands G-G-G grandmother. I have not been able to find any information on a location of Sophia or her husband Christopher Gross, both from Cape Giradeau, Missouri.

Would love to find any photos of the Yount family including Sophia or of her and her husband and their family.

Thank you again

Jacob A Yount
Do you have any photos of Jacob A Yount grave stone or grave site? He was my husbands Great-great-great-great grandfather. Is there a listing for his wife in this cemetery as well? I noticed that this is the Dalton Cemetery, and there are Dalton family members in this small cemetery. Are these any relations to the Famous "Dalton" gang from Missouri?

Hi CemeteryMouse:

May I have permission to use the headstone photo you took for memorial 70327836 for my Ancestry.com tree? They are distant relatives. I will, of course, give you and Find A Grave full credit.

Thank you very much for your consideration and contributions to Find A Grave. Best wishes.

The death date is just fine. It was Feb 15, 1968. Thank you again. I think most of my family are in either TolWood Cemetery, Scott Cemetery, or the Eldon Cemetery.

Thank you ! When I found James in my tree, I just had to have a photo. The poor guy never really had a life. The Vietnam war was so terrible. Thank you for your kindness. Elaine
