Scherel Fisher
John Randolph Gambill descendant
I am J. R. Gambills granddaughter, Scherel Fisher. I am trying to find contact info for Marie Sihlis. She had visited our home a few times and I remember meeting her. But when my father died in 2012, I tried to contact the Canadian family with the last email I had. It didn't work. I would like to be able to stay in contact. Also, what are you basing that you are related to John Gambill Sr. on? I have been trying to find records to show which John Gambill was J.J. Gambill's father and I am not finding any records to back up what so many people have put in their geneologies on Ancestry.com.

Margret Sparks
You wrote on June 13, 2015:
"Hi - I think the marker on this memorial page belongs to Margaret (or Margret) PRUITT Sparks, the wife of Reuben Sparks. There has been another memorial created for a Margaret Sparks in the West Union cemetery with a death date of August 2nd, 1902."

I concur with your findings. I have posted a photo of the marker to the other memorial and have deleted the one I created. Thanks for helping eliminate the duplication.

John Wesley Sparks
Thanks for the message. The Sparks Quarterly is not a source that the DAR will take for proof of parentage for John Wesley Sparks. Looking fro a will of George that will list his children or something of Levi that will give names of his brothers. Thanks.

I also connect to the Boggs and Lyon lines.

RE: Felix Davis Sandage Cemetery Van Buren Co AR
Van Buren County Arkansas has a cemetery book that was published 1993. This book has Felix Davis as being in Sandage Cemetery. It was recorded by Erma Leonard. She lived next door to the cemetery. There are monuments in that cemetery, but not of Felix. Ms. Leonard has been deceased for a number of years. The book was published by the historial center of VBC.

This is Laraine Myers. I'll share my ancestry tree with you if you'll share yours with me. This is a branch of the family that's been hard to research.

This is Bud Hummel's girlfriend, Laraine Myers. Lottie Mae Dill was my late husband's grandmother. Talitha Dill was his great grandmother. A lot of the Dills and Rhodes/Rhoads are buried in the Agency, MO, cemetery. If you give me a private email address, I'll send you the original copy that I made from a family photo.

RE: martha ramey williams griffith sturgill
Nancy, Martha was my step-grandmother. James Griffith was my grandfather. The only Sturgil that I remember being mentioned was a Lon Sturgil. I don't know if this is the one she married or not. We always called her aunt Martha, because she was too young to be a grandmother. She was the same age as my Mom. Her daughter Darlene lives in Westerville, Ohio. Her husband's name is Charley. I will try to find out for you.

Pvt James S Gambill
Hi, Are you familiar with this Gambill?? He is interred in a Mass Grave in Manila and there is a project that hopes to identify his remains (which are now not positively identified) through DNA...

His record on Find A Grave is:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=68801904

If you know of someone that is related to him please let me know. :-) Hopefully he can get the recognition he richly deserves. He is also noted on my following webpage.

Thanks My Friend,

George Sparks
I am sorry but there are no grave stones in the area where George Sparks or Leo Sparks are buired at the New Lorimier Cemetery here in Cape Girardeau.
The records, which by the way are now on the computer under Cape Parks and Recreation, show he was buried in Section 6 Lot 132. I looked today and did not find a monument there. There is a Gary E. Parks 1950-2006 nearby so I took a picture of his grave. Ruth Smith
