I agree. My Great uncle , TN death certificate shows his death date of 1953. His headstone was bought years after his death has 1960. I just added it on the bio as DOD conflicts from headstone and why. In case for research purposes, it assists to better understand. Thank you. Carolyn and Marvin

RE: Delila Smith Miller
I also added photos to her husband's and son Herbert's memorials. I left the photo that best matched the color of their markers. The day I took the photos, it was really too late to get great photos. However, I doubted I would ever return to the cemetery, so I photographed all the markers.

If you ever see one of my photos that you think needs to be edited, please just sent me the memorial number. I will be glad to see what I can do. Thanks for your kindness, D.

I sent a message to link it to the other Delila Smith Miller, might take a couple of days but should be soon. Good to hear from you. Daffodils are blooming in Kentucky.

Robert and Christine,

I reposted the original photo and also added one that I edited more to counter the fact that I took it when the sun was setting. The second one is not as washed out and has cooler tones of gray. Please let me know which one you personally prefer, the top one or the bottom one, and I will delete the other.

D.

Edward Rumsey Smith
Greetings from a frigid Kentucky! Had a few minutes to look at our families posted on Find a Grave. I noted that Edward Rumsey Smith (s/o Aaron Fairfax Smith #38872959) is on Find a Grave #10732483. He's buried in Liberal, KS. Don't know if you're interested in connecting them or not. Not sure if you can do it or if you have to request Oz! I think you'll have to ask him. Then, there are two of Aaron's children (James and Amanda Jane) that we don't know about. Amanda married James L. Thompson on 19 June 1868 in Vanderburgh County, IN. According to my research she died 1870-1877. Then you will remember the story about James. I don't think the James down in Claiborne TN is ours. I talked with another Smith researcher and she agrees with me. I just cannot get anybody in the area to search to see just who that James is! Another day -- perhaps another generation of researchers will determine this.

Also, I may have posted a few edit request in this cemetery. They should show up on your edit tab at the top of your message page. This new feature make requesting an edit so much easier!

RE: Margaret Stom
I posted a photo of the overview of the cemetery. You will not be able to view it until it is approved since it is on the main cemetery page, so I also posted it on memorial #44766663 since I did not have a photo of the marker for this memorial. You can currently view it there.

The cemetery was in very good condition and fenced around the perimeter. I have posted photos to the majority of the memorials you have created in this cemetery. I have also seen it listed as Williams Cemetery on one of the death certificates.

Robert and Christine,

I am not happy with the quality of the photo I posted for Margaret Stom in Clark Cemetery, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. It was under a canopy of trees, backlit, and wet from an unexpected thunderstorm. I actually took it back in the summer, but delayed posting it thinking I might get a chance to return and retake it.

Will you please repost your request and when a better photo is posted let me know so I can remove the current one?

Long lost relatives
R & C,
It is always nice to hear from you. Yes, If it were always easy to find our descendants, that wouldn't be nearly so much fun now would it?! I just love puzzles and finding all these pieces and tidbits that keep us hunting is part of the joy.
Have a great Thanksgiving!

Thanks for the note
Hi, i appreciate the note on the update. I see Helen McKeown has been in touch. I think she is the "wonder woman" of Ohio Co, KY family history. As she said to me once, "I know where the bodies are!"...and she does! lol..lol..

I believe if you check you will see that Elizabeth Jan Adams McAfee was born in 3 July 1823, not 1802.
